Hotel Choice - Renissance or Comfort Suites

HI Folk s--

We're planning to visit SeaWorld on our way to the Disney Cruise. I have the Comfort Suites reserved for one night. They claim to have shuttle to SW, but we also have a rental car. My question is . .. is it worth the extra $50 to stay at the Renissance Hotel right across the street from SW for just one night? Is it much more convenient to SW? Since it is right across the street, can we walk? Even if we get home after it's dark (safely)??

The Renissance is truly just across the street, easily walkable. It took maybe 5 minutes to walk from the front of the hotel to the gates at SeaWorld. The crosswalks are well lit and plentiful. We came back after dark twice and had no trouble at all.

DD and I thought it was a great place to stay...she liked it better than the Dolphin. At check-in, the front desk person checking us in spoke with DD and found out she was going to SeaWorld and DC and gave her a shamu stuffed animal. There was complimentary wine at the front desk to sip while you checked in, and everyone was extremely friendly and gracious. I would highly recommend it.

The Renaissance is the best when visiting SWF/DC.

Once you go, you'll want to come back and stay a couple nights. Club room is great, they have breakfast in the morning, and hot snacks at night. They usually run specials for the holidays like July 4th because this is really a business hotel and they're not crowded on the holidays, so they reduce rates.
