I am trying to decide on which hotel???
2 have millies restaraunt as room service,,,, or how far to walk? is it good food?
which is closest to walkway over to disney?? ( is this OVER the street? or do you cross against traffic??)
any other suggestions?
only 2 adults...... prefer queen/king bed
thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Carousel and Tropicana are right next to each and are a little closer to the entrance than the Fairfield.

It's just a crosswalk to the Disneyland Resort entrance. Although that would be nice if they ever put in a pedestrian overpass.

The three hotels you mention get generally similar reviews with Fairfield being the lowest and Carousel being the highest. Tropicana just finished a two year long interior and exterior remodel and looks nice but the reviews seemd tohave stayed the same. I have stayed at the Tropicana many times over the years but not since 1974. It was always fine.
Are these the only places you are interested in or would you like other suggestions?

I need something to walk to entrance.
I checked a couple others , but they were $89. ( & park inn wants FULL paid deposit + $25 cancel fee)..
not looking for elegance, just a nice room to sleep in.
if you have other suggestions, fire away,

Our favorites are The Howard Johnson and the Candy Cane Inn. They are a little farther away and probably a bit more expensive.
The Best Western Park Place Inn is at the crosswalk and you can't get any closer except for the Grand Californian. They too are often more expensive.
The Desert Inn and Suites sometimes has less expensive regular rooms. They have mostly suites but there are some smaller rooms that are not a suite.
You can book a room at which ever one you feel comfortable with and then start checking expedia.com and other sites a week or two before you leave. Check often and you will sometimes find lower prices shortly before your trip.

I stayed at Carousel last month for two nights. I liked it and would use it again. Very close, rooms clean, staff nice.
