I called to get quotes on a stay at Carribean Beach Resort and the price they gave me was not including airfare-ok fine . They connected me to booking to find out about airfare and the woman told me that they cannot book my flight if I use the *** code (discount for the hotel) because that is a separate office-something about booking through Central Reservations. She said she could book a non-refundable air through them or I could book airfare on my own. What do I do? I pulled up some flights and I can probably do better on my own but more of a hassle. Plus transfers from the airport and hotel would not be included. I would have to do that on my own-which I have no clue how to do yet.

I cannot understand since I am using code *** why can't I book the whole trip through them -airfare and hotel!!!!! Please explain.

I would do airfare on your own. It will almost always come out cheaper. As for arranging transfers from the airport, it is extremely easy to do. You didn't say how many people were in your party which would make a difference. If you have 3 or less people, I would probably do Mears. Just go to their counter in the airport and arrange for round trip transfers. They will take you to your resort and give you a number to call 24 hours before you leave to schedule a time for the return trip. Cost is $28 each adult, but their are discount coupons out there for $3 of each person (check the budget board). If you have more than three people or need to make a grocery stop, I heard that Tiffany Towncar is excellent. They will meet you at the airport, help you with your luggage and drive you directly to the airport. They will also include a 30 minute grocery stop if needed. I believe that the cost of this is around $80 roundtrip. I have never used them, but have heard nothing but great reviews. Hopefully some other people will be able to give you an opinion.

That's the one with the pin AND you have to show your postcard or email when you check in.

Hi Frankiemom,

1. Book your room with your code.

2. Book your own air (we did ours on line last year with NWA
out of Detroit, it couldn't have been easier)

3. Book transportation to and from airport. (We have used Mears buses, but it was cheaper and easier for our family of five to use a towncar service We used yourride. They had a van that held all of us and our luggage. They were at the airport before us with a sign with our name on it. And at our hotel when we walked out with our luggage.)

4. Buy your park tickets (We bought ours at the check-in desk with a Disney Club discount. The park tickets were put on the same card as our room key and credit card. Then you only have one card to carry!

1, 2, 3, 4 its as easy as that!

I'm not sure why you can't book everything through them, but it's not hard to do yourself. It will probably save you some money, and we're all here to help you!

Booking airline tickets yourself coudn't be eaiser now since you can do it on line and cheak out airlines yourself. I am asmuming you know how to used the internet since you are on line here. :)

Depending on where you are coming from, you can save a lot by finding the cheapest, most direct and the times you want yourself. We have made 7 trips from Detroit to WDW over the past 7 years and always booked ourselves. From here we perfer Sprit airlines (very cheap less then 100 each way per person, non stop.) But this really depends on where you live. For us planning is half the fun. (thinking dreaming ect...)

Take an extra hour, save some money and do it yourself. Just a few steps more and the extra money can be well spent at Disney later!!!!!

You gals/guys are awesome: One question I was thinking of getting the 5 day Park hopper ticket instead of the 7 day ultimate Park Hopper ticket. Will I regret this? I have a 4 year old and we are not planning of doing the water parks and want to go to Universal Studios so that will be one day which i know is not part of the Hopper Tickets. Do I have to pay to get to Downtown Disney on my own?

Hi I think that you should get a 5 day park hopper because if you are going to skip the water parks you will really be wasting alot of money. Downtown Disney is free if you are refering to the shopping area. The clubs are at Pleasure Island and they have a cover charge for that at night. You can get in during the day for free I think. It really is easy to do everything yourself. It probably would only take you a few minutes longer than calling the Travel agent and cheking to see if they follow thru. Good Luck and keep asking questions here we all love to help.
