I'm so excited - we've just booked our 2nd DLRP :cool1: !! Going at end of Sept for 4 nights staying in the Sequoia Lodge. We had our 1st trip in Nov 08and stayed at the Cheyenne & DS hasn't stopped talking about it. Got another couple of holidays booked so can't get back before Sept but really looking forward to it.

Now the dilema, to fly or take train?? We're coming from Scotland & last time flew to CDG & then took the TGV to Disney. Found it a good journey, everything went to plan. This time the flight times for this trip are quite late and we hoped to make the most of the 5 days in the parks (flying would reduce our time there by pretty much a whole day). Also with having a pool this time we thought we may like to use this. Anyway other option is drive to Ashford and train to Disney....I think this would be quite a magical way to do it (obv ignoring the 8 hour drive...kids will be asleep). Just think it will be exctiting to get on the train in the morning and be at Disney by lunch!! Anyone got any experiences to share??

Also how does the SL compare to the Cheyenne?

I'm so excited and can't wait to get back :tinker: :mickeyjum :sulley: :tigger: :dumbo: :goofy: :ccat:

Hi there,

We're in Scotland as well and always drive to DLP. We usually drive down to Folkestone the day before then get an early Eurotunnel. We're normally in the parks by lunchtime. This time round we're going by ferry from Dover but the majority of the trip will still be the same :)

Thanks for that, Euro tunnel is one option we're looking at. How do you find the drive in general? The times of the tunnel certainly look great for optinum time at Disney!

Does anyone know of hotel with long stay car parking in Ashford close to the Eurostar?

I can't really help you with the travel question, but we may see you there! We're going the end of Sept. too! :goodvibes

SL is a really nice hotel.... My other half is obsessed with the bird song you hear at the lifts....! It's got a lovely woodland lodge feel to it, the breakfasts are nice and it's just a fabby hotel.... :goodvibes

We really don't mind the drive at all. We're used to doing the Glasgow to Kent part of it as my in laws live in Bournemouth so it's pretty much the same time. The drive in France is so easy. The roads are great, flow really well and it's a nice, easy drive.
