Hotel between Tampa/St. Petes

Hi! We are planning on going to Busch Gardens and seeing a Devil Rays game. I was wondering if there is a hotel we can stay at that is between them? We are planning on stays one or two nights in May. Thanks!

the only thing between Tampa and St. Pete is a long bridge over Tampa Bay.

it's not that long of a drive, a half hour if it's not rush hour.

Amity 3 took the words right out of my mouth. When I saw the title of your post, I thought "nothing there but water". I'm not sure where the stadium is, but I stayed just off the interstate at a Homewood Suites that was listed as being in St Pete. It was quite nice.

We just stayed at the Westin in Tampa, and the Hampton Inn & Suites on Beach Blvd. in St. Pete. Both of those were very nice.

We stayed at a nice clean Fairfield Inn just on the other side of the 275 bridge (which is beautiful to drive). Beautiful area. It was pretty affordable and had a nice breakfast too. Try to plan accordingly for traffic if you can - which shouldn't be too hard to do given the activities you have planned. We only hit traffic once...going there at 3:30 - 4 pm. It was real heavy right before the Rt. 60 exit but then it was moving but slowly. Not horrible - at least not compared to the Long Island Expressway !!
