Hotel at SSR??

Is there a traditonal hotel at Saratoga or just Vacation club?

When it opens in May, it will be a DVC resort, but rooms can be rented for cash from Disney since Disney will retain a percentage of the property.

It will be similar to OKW in that way. Rooms will be similar to the other DVC resorts at WDW.

Dano.... For your reference this is the old Disney Institute Property which has been pretty well demolished. The old spa remains and will re-open around the time when Saratoga opens.

It is not tied to a resort hotel per-say, so I would agree this will be more like OKW. Like anything new I am excited and will check it out when I go to BCV in August.

Not all of the residential units of the old Villas at Disney Institute have been torn down, but, for now, Disney is not renting them to guests as hotel rooms. For example, the Treehouse Villas are locked and unused.

But, if demand for on-site lodging recovers, then Disney could reopen some or all of the remaining Villas at Disney Institute. If so, it would then be logical to have them share check-in facilities and other public areas of SSR. And it would also make sense to brand them with "Sarasota Springs," such as "Disney's Treehouse Villas at Sarasota Springs." That would not mean that the Treehouse Villas or other former Villas at Disney Institute units would be part of DVC.
