Any suggestions for a hotel with a great pool for around $100 a night and no resort/parking fees? (Going 3/25-27) Would love to be with 15 minutes of Citywalk or Disney Springs. Going to tour colleges so not doing any parks. Thanks!

edit: I occasionally drive from WDW to Universall on International Drive to avoid I-4 traffic. and think some of the SeaWorld locations might be considered halfway and notice they are building new resorts.

Universal Studios has just opened 2 new resorts that probably have fun pools...and poolside bar... and shuttle to CityWalk and in the $100 price range. I think they are called Endless Summer and Dockside Inn.

Are you considering one location meaning either Universal or WDW or want to be midway ?

A lot of new hotels(Hilton & Marriott) have opened on the AK side The Western Way DisneyWorld entrance is not always discussed.
It is called Flamingo Crossings with a Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn, Homewood Suites. You might find a discount too! It is a very easy drive to the locations you are considering .
Oops not close to CityWalk at Universal. Have to think about that one ...

Thanks so much for the response. We just want to be close to one or ther other, or I guess midway would work. Touring colleges during the day so just want to get a little bit of the theme park magic at night.

Look for Wyndham Bonnet Creek on Ebay or Tugbbs.com. Sometimes you can get a bargain there.

College touring is so exciting! Do you mind me asking which ones you’re looking at? My daughter and I toured a few in November: Embry Riddle (first choice, she LOVED it!), UCF (pleasantly surprised and will apply there), and FIT (eww, gross!). We also stopped in Atlanta on the way down and toured Georgia Tech — she also loved that and will apply. Good luck and have fun!

Just make sure she knows that the kids around here don't call UCF "U Can't Finish" for nothing. 😊 Lots of complaints about course offerings not being sufficient and students taking longer to graduate as a result.

Yes! When I was a Disney CP waaayyyy back my roommate went to UCF. I think it took her 6.5 years to graduate and she was very smart 😆

Totally different schools. We are seeing Rollins, Stetson and Univ of Tampa. Second kid so I’ve been on lots of tours with my 2020 grad but these will be the first ones for my son. I love college touring! Just wish we could spend more time and do the parks but hoping he likes the schools so we can him visit a lot!

We are big fans of the Sheraton LBV on South Apopka Vineland Road. We have stayed here many times without complaint, but have read some others on here complaining about the room cleanliness. The pool area is great, with two separate pools and hot tubs (they werent open in Sept). You can also walk to many local restaurants and the drive to Disney Springs is only about 5 minutes.

Bonnet Creek through vacation strategies. Not sure about walkability but we got a 2BR for 4 nights in mid-April for $510 all in. No resort fees or parking fees.

We’ve stayed at the holiday inn lake Buena vista many times because of the balcony rooms, great rates, and nice walk to Disney springs! Good luck on the college search!

If you follow the hotwire/ Priceline thread you can find more...
Not the greatest pool ever but $101 for All Star Movies on hotwire. May be a little cheaper on the app.
