Okay AP holders I was wondering what the best rates you've seen for DLH and GCH, and what time/month of the year.

There are great deals for GCH coming up this September. There are a few days at $209! I haven't seen it that low in a long time. You can even get a view room for $249, unheard of! :thumbsup2

Sadly, there will be no talking DH into taking advantage of the opportunity, as I just barely talked him into the 5 for 3 deal we are about to enjoy! That worked out to about $250 a night, so it's also a great deal, especially given that's it's the busy season.

I'm hoping there will be good prices this December, and by then I can talk him into going back, as my birthday/Christmas present. :santa:

Good Luck!

I agree with Oscarkitty1 - some of the rates for the GCH have been great, but they are only for certain days and not for big blocks of time. I saw $219 for GCH at one point and I thought that was really low for that hotel, so $209 is crazy!! I also think the lowest I have seen at all for DLH was maybe $139 or $149. The lowest I have seen for PPH is $129. These kinds of rates are usually in the Fall or the off-peak season, but some strangely good AP rates came out last year for December (up until about mid-month), considering that is peak season for them. The rates were not quite as low as the off-peak/Fall rates, but they were great for December - and the hotels were not even fully booked in December!!! They still had lots of availability all the way up until Christmas!

I've seen rates this past year (Oct-now) for $149-169 at DLH in Oct, Nov, and Feb. We got DLH standard for $169 in Nov, DLH concierge for $189 in Feb and GCH standard for $225 in Oct.

Just be aware that recently they've shown prices online that don't exist when they are showing them.

For three days they had a $279 rate for GCH, but I couldn't book online b/c, well, it's a Disney website and wasn't working...when I called, while looking (and refreshing) that rate, all they had was a 1 bedroom for over $1000. Next day (the day I was booking for) they still showed the 279 rate for that night, but the site was working, and there was absolutely nothing at GCH.

I was really disappointed, so just be aware that you'll need to actually go through the process of booking (whether online or by phone) to make sure those rooms do exist.

The best I've had at PPH was $139 a nite for a theme park view room, that was in late Jan. I've never stayed at the DLH so nothing, but at the GCH we had a DTD view room for $249 a nite (maybe $229 or $219) in early November.

The best AP rate we ever got was $89 for the GCH back in January of '06...

More recently though, we've gotten the DLH for $149-$159 during fall, winter and early spring.

Did I read that correctly? $89 for the GCH???!! And that was an AP rate? How did that happen? WOW! Okay, that is the lowest rate I have ever heard of for the GCH in the history of the GCH! Even when it was a pretty new hotel back in 2001, when I stayed there for the first time, the room rate was not that low. But just 3 years ago you got $89? That is insanely cheap. And to think - I thought $219 was a "great discount" for the GCH now!!:lmao:

Yes, you read correctly...$89. It was the 1st time for us using our new AP's to book the special rates and we had originally booked our reservation at the DLH. They called us a few weeks before our arrival date to apologize because the DLH was over booked and would we mind staying at the GCH instead. Definitely a fluke but still, it was an AP rate that we were getting!

That is fantastic! I see a pattern here. Both you and DizMe had existing reservations at the DLH and then both of you got calls beforehand to ask if you would mind switching to the GCH (at the DLH rate) due to something being booked or closed (in DizMe's case, it was the DLH concierge lounge that was going to be closed, so she got to stay at GCH instead). Maybe that is the way I need to go about getting back to the GCH - I'll just book a room at the DLH and hope they call me to switch me over to GCH before I arrive!!:lmao::lmao::lmao: Whenever I stay at PPH, they never call me to switch me anywhere, darn it!

Right, it sure sounds like a good plan! Remember, that was my very 1st time booking an AP rate. It took me a couple of years to fully realize how incredibly lucky that was...for the longest time I thought another great deal like that would come up for us no problem :laughing: yeah...not so much anymore!

Lowest I've ever gotten has been PPH for $79 (April), DLH for $99 (Jan) and GCH for $119 (Oct). Haven't seen those kind of rates for several years though.

There is a $189 PP concierge rate during certain days in sept!
Best I've seen for GCH is $209 - and I surprisingly think that is good. That was, until I read this thread and saw $89 and $119! WOW! That would be awesome. But also, it would then be impossible to book there - can you imagine if they offered a rate like that?
