We're planning a weekend trip for our family of 4 with 2 teenage friends tagging along. What hotel CLOSE to the park (within walking distance) would you recommend?? I'm trying to be as economical as possible.

TIA!!
Brenda

We have 6-3 adults, 3 kids and we are staying down the street at Homewood suites. Its across from Target and has the ART pick-up at the door. The rate inc. free breakfast and Mon-Thur free dinner. We atre going for Xmas so Ill post a report on this property. I have heard nothing but great things about this place! :sunny:

We 5 (3 adults 2 children) are staying at the Tropicana. which is right across from the maingate.. You will have to pay to upgrade to a suite though.

You can get minit suite rooms at the following places, whih have two doubles or queens and a pull out sofa (double or queen) and are also with in a 5 - 10 minute walk to the front gates of the parks.
The Best Western Park Place Inn and Mini Suites
The Desert Inn and Suites
The Desert Palm Inn and Suites
Many of the other hotels with in a short walking distance also have connecting rooms that they call suites for and okay price.

We just stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bath suite at the Carousel Inn. It was easy walking distance (even for our 4 and 5 year olds could walk there in 5 minutes) and a great price ($129 per night) It's not fancy, but is clean and close to the park.

We recently stayed at the Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites. They have many room options. The hotel was clean and well priced and the room had a fridge and microwave. The continential breakfast was not great, so we brought some food and supplemented it.

It's not fancy, but I would stay there again. For the price it is a great location and they have an area on the roof that you can watch the fireworks from, which came in very handy as the fireworks were cancelled all nights we were actually in the park.
