Hot weather items?

Help please. I remember reading about someone having a towel like item that helped them during hot weather. I now cannot find the post.

Any hot weather tips and tricks please. We have a family member who does not do well in the heat. Well, I guess nobody really enjoys the high heat. we will be keeping her hydrated. But any suggistions are appreciated.

I think you mean Frogg Toggs. I've read about those on here. There are other cooling type towels as well.

Hats are a must for me, and I like a long sleeve loose sun shirt to keep the sun off my skin.

Not sure if this is a silly question, but do you ever see people with umbrellas on a hot day? It's always colder in the shade and it's one way to keep shaded.

Perhaps a mister of some type. The most effective I've seen are the kind that have a pump handle to pressurize the container. Then there's a fine mist release with a button. In Disneyland they sell spray bottle fans on hot days, although a cheap spray bottle costs less than a dollar at a discount store. I prefer the smaller ones because a big spray bottle is rather bulky.

The cooling towel works wonders! Also the hand fan/mister is great. They sell them at the park buy you could find one cheaper at Walmart for under $5

We have Frogg Togg type towels, plus I have a mister by Lunatec that works on any Camelbak type bottle. It's one of the pump/pressure kinds, which is much better than the less expensive ones my kids have. Works especially well if you put ice in it, then have a sleeve over the water bottle to keep the water cool.

I also used to carry a product called Cool Off Wipes, but haven't been able to find them anywhere this year.
