Hot tub experts... question

Can hot tubs leak?? And how do we check... yesterday a damp spot showed up on one side of our hot tub.. hubby saw it, its still there today, not a puddle, but damp. What should we do?

We've had wet spots show up if the cover is not on correctly. The condensation gathers and then drips off the cover onto the floor.

Yes, they can leak and be a big pain to fix. But we moved our hot tub (as in from one house to a new house 1200 miles away), then it had a leak. We had to call someone out to fix it, it was still under warranty so we didn't have to pay for it. But it took months to find it.

I checked the cover and moved it, hopefully it was that, but Dh just said it prob isnt.
Hot tub is about 8 yrs old and been in the same spot for the last 1.5 yrs. Hubby just pulled off the side and says one of the tubes to one of the jets looks like its leaking UGHHH, but at least he has an idea of where it is now. It will just have to leak until he has time to fix it. At least it must be a slow leak, the concrete is just damp, not a puddle.
