Justin, it would seem that living in Cali. that the first option would be better for you! However, I don't think the first option is a better value. You can take those 160 developer points and use them at SSR or Disneyland by 10/3 or you can deposit them into RCI by 10-3 to use within two years. So basically they are the same thing. But if you think you want to go to SSR before 10/3 I would take the second one. Weren't you offered the free 3 day cruise in place of the developer points??

I personally am not liking this RCI incentives. I want Disney, not RCI!

Just confirming that the 3-day stays at the GC do not include the concierge rooms. I originally purcahsed 110 points through my Florida guide last Thursday (and used my DPs to book two nights at the GC-concierge level), but decided to cancel that contract and rewrite after the incentives were announced. Now I get a three night stay at the GC (Friday-Sunday over Labor Day weekend) AND fastpasses...

I know, it doesn't sound like a big deal, but I'll take what I can get!

We have stayed concierge level at the Grand a few times but we have an upcoming stay three days in a regular room too. The rooms are the same vs concierge or not. Actually the rooms that are not on the concierge level are a little bigger, they can accommodate a day bed. There are no daybeds in concierge. The only difference is in concierge sometimes a better view and the conciege lounge.

Bring your own cereal and small water bottles and you will be good to go! Concierge level takes many points or a lot of cash..not worth the price IMHO!

Of course if I had endless amounts of cash or points ...sure why not stay in concierge, but as long as they are nice accommodations,....I go for maximum fun for the most value!
