Hot news on new attractions!

Lots of good things in store for WDW. I know I will definately have to plan a trip for 2005.

i wonder where in the land pavilion they plan on putting the "California" attraction?

any guesses or more informed answers?

the only spot that would seem to have the space would be the theater where the enviormental freindly lion king movie currently is.

I think it's going to replace the Food Rock show, at least part of it is. They may be adding on to the building for the rest of it.

no more pita gabrial, neal mousaka or the sole of rock and roll?!?!?!?!

i will gladly welcome change, but will miss laughing my butt off to this silly show if it ends up going.

I hope they do not replace Food Rocks. It is one of those "hidden" gems that the kids enjoy and is not overly crowded.

Well, you can kiss Food Rocks goodbye! It may not be until next year, but it wiil give way to the new Soarin' attraction.
They are in the process of constructing the new show building adjacent to the Land pavilion. They will eventually be using the Food Rocks area as the waiting area for the new attraction. The current exit area for Food Rocks will be the Fastpass distribution area. There will also be other modifications to the Land pavilion, such as expanding the restrooms and adding two new elevators to handle the increase in the crowds.

We'll be paying a "goodbye" visit to Food Rocks at the end of the month....its a cute show, but I truly regret never seeing its predecessor, Kitchen Kabaret. I have a recording of the Veggie Fruit song and its brilliant! LOL!

Looking forward to something new even if it is just a copy from California. I just hope that my littlest one won't have to sit this out as well as all the other new attractions!

well - that locks it. i will be dragging my videocamera with me next trip and catching this show on video. (i have one of those nice ones that has no external light - so i won't be a pain to my fellow attendees)

I look forward to the new attraction though. (and the extra potty facilities would be awesome - we were stuck in the land for about 2 hours during a bad rain storm. just droves of wet cold people and everyone had to tinkel at the same time.)

I'm so glad that things are looking up again for WDW. It means lots of more fun things! I have heard that the new Soarin' attraction at the Land Pavilion will be adjacent to the Food Rocks area, so they won't remove Food Rocks. I really enjoy that attraction--I think it's a bit of a hidden gem.

We love Food Rocks. I would hate to see it go. We do have it on tape, but it is not the same as in person.

Food Rocks doesn't hold a candle to Kitchen Kabaret.
Soarin' over California will be a more-than-worthy replacement.

We agree, we miss Kitchen Kabaret, but do enjoy Food Rocks. I am not happy to see Soarin' seems to be a virtual reality ride. They always make me ill. (Star Tours, Body Wars, etc.)

so glad. I recieved a newsletter on all the new things they were going to o. The next three years should be exciting!!!
