Hot Hot Hot

The heat is really bothering me! Gary is outside water the garden and plants, flower's etc. I just have to stay in the house in the AC. Oh where is Fall? Anyone else having problems with this heat?

I know what you mean -- and I'm thinking "We're leaving for WDW in 10 days ... if I can't take this heat/humidity, how am I ever going to handle WDW?!!?" Then, I figured that most things are air conditioned and you can always pop into the shops to "cool down" (yeah ... that's it ... I'm not going to shop -- I need to cool down!). Plus, there are so many things to distract you that sometimes you don't even realize how hot you are!!!! And, the heat is always a reason to eat Mickey bars (like I need a reason!?). At least this is what I keep telling myself!!!!

I hear ya. We had god-awful heat last week. 113 degrees several days in a row! We stayed in as much as possible, but my Mom still wilted. We're back to about 85 degrees - just perfect for me. Windows open - a nice breeze....ahhhh.

Yes, and it totally refuses to rain. The goofiest thing is, I'm too cold in the air conditioning, so I keep ducking out into the heat till I can't take it anymore. I'm gonna end up with pneumonia!!

I'm heading to WDW in 9 days so I keep telling myself this heat is training for Orlando. Actually Orlando will be much better. I only have A/C in the bedrooms.

The Nation is in a heatwave and we are actually below normal. Been in the mid 90's for a week with humidity. But not too bad considering the 115+ temps we had for most of July.

I live in Phila and its been hot hot hot and soupy with the humidity. Its horrible. I'm with the original poster, come on fall!!!! I love the fall and would rather have snow and ice than constant air conditioning and heat.

I'm going to Nashville tomorrow for a conference and last time I checked its cooler there.

Relief is on the way!!! We had a doozy of a storm last night, lots of rain, thunder, lightening and it is now 74°, the coolest it has been in weeks! It is supposed to get up to 80° today , way better then the 115 heat index we had yesterday.

We are suppose to get to 100 today with the heat index 105-115. Those storms you got are supposed to be here tomorrow afternoon, they are moving very slow Then we are supposed to cool off.

They said 110 degree heat index today, and hotter tomorrow. C'mon winter!!!!!!

It is supposed to be 117F (with the humidex) here today. I feel sorry for the people working outside in this.
On the other hand my DH works in the elecricity market and they are dealing with high electricity load. People need to cut back on the usage.
