"Hot Chocolate" or "Hot Cocoa"?

Hot cocoa seems too fancy. I buy the box of 10 for $1 and that's hot chocolate. If I was paying $3 for a mug of it I would probably call it hot cocoa.

It's either "hot chocolate" or "cocoa". Those I'll use interchangeably.

I haven't heard "hot cocoa". Seems kind of redundant. Is there a big market for cold cocoa?

I use both. If at home and using Hershey's Cocoa, it's hot cocoa. Outside of home, it's hot chocolate.

My dog's name when I was growing up was Cocoa so I'd feel really funny saying I was drinking cocoa. I call it hot chocolate.

I say hot chocolate. For some reason, cocoa always sounded more juvenile to me---kind of like saying "mommy and daddy" instead of "mom and dad". Wierd, I know...

me too. Whenever some company around here is trying to justify $$ they always seem to call it "cocoa". I swear WDW markets MVMCP as having hot cocoa among other amenities, and so does Christmastown at our Busch Gardens.
