I've said it before, and I will say it again... Hula ROCKS! I was lucky enough to be in that New Orleans Square room when she came. I was having terrible computer issues so I couldn't say what I wanted to, but I figured I'd say it here in case she reads. I did manage a wave though!

Hula's gone out of her way so many times to be helpful and nice to players, and I was sad to see what she typed in game because I figured something had happened. Came here afterwards and read this. It looks like the problem was misinformation... people thinking it was during Dreams time when it wasn't. Another case of you can't always believe what you hear or read, I suppose.

Hula gal, you're a total sweet.tea. You make many people very happy by working overtime so much and it means the world. I don't know how you do it; your computer difficulties are known far and wide (hehe), and I just don't know how you manage. My computer's a disaster to the point where I am afraid to even change rooms the past couple of days for fear of crashing. Keep on keeping on, Hula. We appreciate all you do! I hope to get to play Mansion with you at some point myself!

And may I also just say, when I saw the prize was a Fairy pin, I wanted to cry (happy tears)! Aside from the room, that was what I have been dreaming of the most since this month started. Reminds me of the signs in the parks and brings back such good memories of my trip this past March. I've had a rough time lately, and sometimes good memories are the main thing that keep me keeping on. Who knew a virtual pin could mean so much?

Anyhow, just another thank you to Hula, and Phinny also. I've gotten dreams from both of them so far, and both have been very pleasant and kind. It can't be fun to know many are sad and disappointed due to being dreamless.

Hula was just in the Mansion lobby.. she played a game of mansion with us then gifted everyone ears.

I tried to clarify the time issue right away within 15 minutes of it occuring. I posted the full picture clearly showing the time was before the event, and I stated it was before the event. really no misinformation just another case of people not reading and decifering the facts because they are apparently wrapped up with what they did not get. I had several people message me saying they see the time, whats the issue. The thread is to figure out where people have won and what the travels are and perhaps who has ears, not to debate whether they should do it how they did...I am sure there is a thread for that somewhere. I am just sorry I accidentally lost the picture of us lined up for the prize as I took another print and forgot to save the last. LOL It's been a long month for everyone, again relax and enjoy the last few days of the event or take a few days off we don't need any medical emergencies because of the game. Soon enough the trees will turn to pumpkins and we will have that funky halloween music on main street - not to wreck the surprize i hope.

First, she came in before the event start time and since we used to play a game now and then with her, we talked her into a game.

No, I didn't see the time on the photo. I got home 1/2 hour after the dream time started tonight. And the message read some kind this: Hula was playing haunted mansion and giving out ears.

I appreciate the fact she stays after the event is over for the evening and gifts players (I wonder if that is on her list of things to do as well, since the one post that says she only has so many things to give out and has to follow a list ) but the message read that she was playing and giving out ears. If she was playing before the start of the dream time, then she was giving out ears before the start of the dream time according to the first post on the subject.

Not a judgment of any kind - just a statement of facts according to the messages I have read here. I have said many many times in the past few weeks/months/year - Hula is my favorite host of all. She still is. All month I have thought if I got the room I would want to get it from Hula, because it would have meant that much more to me to get it from her.

As hard as I tried not to care anymore about anyone else in the game, I still asked Hula to gift Bug the room and I tried to ask her to gift dream ears to PrincessPaloma, but I couldn't say her name.

Needless to say we all know that Hula was reading this thread during the Dream hours.

I can’t follow of the logic of:
she was playing and gifting at the same time,
she has to follow a list,
she can gift to anyone after the event is over
she can gift to afk players
she can’t gift to afk players

As much as I want the castle room, it’s pretty clear now I won’t it. Oh well, in spite of trying not to care who get what any more, I still hope that Bug gets her room.

Thanks again to Hula for the pin, I think I thanked her about 3-4 times while she was in the square earlier tonight.
Thanks to Qruthie for the luck that let me be in the room this time instead of waiting all night (like last night) in a room that had been visited earlier in the day.

Well, I don't have dream ears but a Sweet player named LadyDooley gave me some black ones. Atleast now I have some kind of ears. Woot Woot for LadyDooley

And things like this have been my favorite part of dream month. I've seen several players going into rooms and "gifting" hats, quest items, churro carts, etc. That is true Disney magic.

I hung out in Town Square for most of it last night, and had a blast talking to people there, but alas...no Dream Squad.

I know everyone's gunning for the castle room, and that would be fantastic, but all I REALLY want are some ears! *sob*

Oh, well. There are still a few days left.

For those who have jobs....can you imagine how miserable you would be if you showed up to work to do your job and there ended up being a 5 page thread on what you did and didn't do correctly, and critiquing your every move. That would suck. All I know is that I hope Hula's bosses over in VMK Land don't give her as much garbage as she gets here sometimes. Not saying all the time, but sometime as seen here.

Poor gal, all she wanted to do was come to work and do her job.

And for the record I wish I was in a position to gift ears, yet I don't have ears yet. And you know what...that's ok, life goes on. (NOT A SHAMELESS PLUG, DO NOT GIFT ME EARS)

Sometimes a little envy can get the best of you...but it shouldn't.

I agree...and I hope my whining about not having ears doesn't come across as griping about Hula, because I'm not. It isn't her fault I was in the wrong room!

Tonight's "I hear" comment was that Hosts are not granting the dream room to afk players anymore. Of course, that drove me crazy, because there's obviously no proof of this.

Ok, time for me to get off my soap box, now.

I don't know what would be "proof" of this, but I saw Lily in Frontierland Dock the other day go up to an afk player and say, " You are my lucky winner!" He didn't respond and she waited a few minutes and then said, " I will keep looking." After giving us all ears, she left and went to another instance of the dock, which is where someone else won the room. The afk player did not win it. So even though this is not "proof" that there is a new rule about gifting the afk players the room, I saw it happen first hand. Maybe it is a decision the individual hosts have made, or maybe it is on a case by case basis. Who knows. But it is possible that they have decided that if you are afk, they won't gift you.

I was fortunate enough to be given ears by Hula AND VMK_Lion in this room!! It was neat seeing two Staff together! Was about 8 minutes 'til closing, just after the pop-up message.

Sigh, my kid and I had been in that room with you for quite awhile, gave up and went to bed just a few minutes before that. It was late, and quite a bit past time for event to be over. But congrats to those who stuck it out and were there.

UPDATE:

Remember my post yesterday saying my friend might have been able to gift me a tomorrowland package.. well today I was finally able to get on VMK and sitting in my Inventory was a brand new Green Tron Lightcycle and Tron Arcade Cabinet!

I want to thank my VMK friend, gabyta, who did a big favor for me. I will never forget it. Thank You!

Ok, that seems plausible. But in general, I was getting sick of hearing the usual blather about "I heard (insert item here) is come.in out next moon." Players have a tendency to start these rumors and pass them along. I quickly tell them that unless it's in the VMK Newsletter or the Home Page, players do not know when items will get released. I usually get ignored.

Add, what I was talking about in regards to misinformation wasn't directed at your post. It was all over the game last night; almost every room I visited, I heard people I've never laid eyes on before saying she was playing various mini-games during Dreams time. To me, that is a spread of misinformation. Not your post, but so many in the game belieiving what others in game told them about that Mansion game and spreading it around. Hence my comment, can't always believe what you see/read. Does that make any sense? I hope so.

It was late when I posted, and I guess it wasn't the clearest thing in the world.

I understand, I did not take it as such but as I said I had several feedback messages so i was responding overall. Your post simply adress the area I wanted to comment on, I understand it was a broad statement and somewhat true overall. I don't want to go any furthur into it but I meant nothing against you or your post.
