Host Gifts a Room to a girl who is being rude and fighting with another player.

I will merge this thread with the other rant thread but I wanted everyone to see it first.

While this is second hand info(because I was not in the room when it happened - a friend was who is an adult and I trust completely witnessed it and told me) here goes the story:

Two girls and fighting with each other one is being extremely rude when Host enters the Room goes up to the girl who is being rude and gifts her the Dreams Room!


Now I am not sure how much or if any of the exchange Host saw or what was said following this gift by the others in the room. This gift makes me extremely sad for several reasons.

Moderation in the game does not seem to be improving and rude/mean players are not being taken out of the game but it seems they are now being rewarded with dreams.

secondly I think it is also totally unfair that if a host enters a room that only one person in that room receives a dream.

I know I will take a lot of flack about this but my feelings about these host gift events has always been the same I think that all they do is harbour resentment and disappointment in most players.

Yes it is great when you are bestowed upon a gift of any of the dream items but like my room on Saturday we were all so excited when Host Lily entered the room only to be totally let down when we found a pink slipper, teacup teleporters and a flower in our inventories.

While a lot of you say WOW I would be so happy just to receive a free gift...sorry I do not buy that for 1 minute.

Most of the members here have been playing long enough that we can afford to purchase all those items, already have them in our inventories etc.

If this is a "dream" event stick to dream items and dream items only or if giving out rare or semi rare items include them with dream items.

Gift the entire room at least 1 dream item. (which by the way I think should be the ears)

I think that anyone who encounters a Host during the event hours should receive the Ears and then some extras given to a few.

If a few simple things could be done this would be a awesome event.

I am not putting down the Host far from it, their directives have come from above. Just again and at the handling of an event that should be making VMK a more magical place when instead as it continues is only causing resentment and disappointment in many.

Make this event magical please reconsider how and what is being bestowed today before this goes any further

Here is another situation I witnessed last night. Not a Host, but a staff member comes into my friends trivia game room. Everyone is very excited they think they have won something. After he stood there for several moments, he finally said hello and addressed the room owner. While in the meantime everyone is room was going off with excitement that they had won dreams items. He chewed the room owner a new one for not removing rude plyers from her room and told her it was her responsibility. She thanked him, keep in mind the entire time people are wild about winning dreams items finally, the room was lagged out with typed messages. Then poof, he was gone he never said sorry I dont give out dreams items, never said bye, never ever said kiss my ... As you can only imagine, the people were very let down, and the game room was ruined, because only thing people wanted to do now was cry about why they did not win dreams items.

This event is now not anything I am interested in. It took two days for me to just say this. I think it is great if you win an item, I am sorry if you don't. Truth is I could care less either way, the Dreams Squad promotion is now over to me, I will be carrying on as usual in VMK and ignoring it all.

What a rude rude thing to do! I do not mean not giving out dreams but coming into someone's game room and telling them how to run thier room!

I think this event reminds my of the last ride competition. People hanging in rooms to get judged. I hang for a bit with my friends but I know the odds of them coming to the room are slim to none. It is just like the ramdom inferno give out. I know my luck I never get anything so I pretend in most cases this dream event is not happening.

I think this month's promotion stinks worse than any event has stunk in the history of stink. My previously complete collection of guest rooms will become incomplete. My nearly complete collection of pins will be short another pin that I have virtually no chance (ala best game, best game, push, inferno, gold star, top ten, mighty eye, green car) to ever get. I'm sure that all the favorite players of staff will get their rooms, ears, pins and whatever else is being handed out, and I will get a donut.

If anyone is looking to complete trades with me this month, PM me when you are going to be on, and I'll make a special point of signing on to do the trade, because just looking for me in the game won't work. I'll be doing something else. I play the game to relax and have fun, and this month, I think it's just going to tick me off.

Last nite Sweet and I were standing on the pirate dock when from right stage, a Staff member enters the room. I have to admit for a fleeting second I thought our patience finally paid off and perhaps we won a dreams item. But after he locked out all other room conversation he proceeded to chew some player out for impersonating Staff. I have no idea who the guilty party was and we were unable to ask because of the chat lock out. I know staff doesnt hand out the prizes but for that second... oh well.

But I agree with you here. Im not sitting and wasting anymore time waiting for something that should be available to everyone.

To many things as is that are not available to everyone. To much partiality..special treatments...favors..inconsistancies but thats just one guys opinion.

Sorry Mal didnt mean to hang on my soapbox so long.

But I do have to disagree that everyone in the room has to get a prize. Sure that would be FANTASTIC, but it's not how it's run in the real parks. If the Dream Team showed up in Fantasyland and gave an incredibly LUCKY park guest a night in the Castle Suite, and I happened to be in Fantasyland at the same time, wouldn't it be very wrong of me to be upset that *I* did not get that night too? Of course, I'd be extremely disappointed, but I certainly wouldn't think of it as "unfair".

If prizes are awarded to everybody, they would soon be of no interest.

That said, I am hating this Dreams month already. All my friends are locked into rooms sitting for hours with incredibly long lines to enter. I think we should all just carry on and play VMK like we normally do.

And Jones, I so agree. I am so done with this Dreams promotion already, two days into it. Although here I sit "saying" that I'm going to carry on as normal, but how much you want to bet we're all parking ourselves in a room once the next Dreams Squad time frame hits....

Sadly you were in my room once when this was said. I don't understand it. How do they have any value if you can not trade them? They are worthless except for you to wear...

it sadness me what has happened to VMK in the last 4 months...not the game it once was...sad day for Disney when they disappoint so many children...Walt must be turning in his grave...........

that may be so in the Parks Pink but VMK is not the park and the People in the Park have no way of knowing who won what nor do they care other than to be happy for them. I would never be upset if the person right next to me in the Park won and I did not.

VMK although made to look like the Park has a whole different set up, structure and values and items are everything.

Even if all month the host were to gift everyone in every room they entered it would still only be a fraction of the players in the game.

We will just have to disagree on this.

I do not know what to say for this month...I'm practically pulling out my hair!! This is unbelievabe! As much as Staff are trying to make this "fun" it isn't fair to others. They should have at least one dreams item available to everyone. I really do hate that they aren't tradeable though! That gives others who WEREN'T lucky enough to NEVER get them and the ones who WERE lucky enough to get them just let them rot in their inventory never for them to use! What a Waste!

I agree with EVERYTHING that you have said so far Mal. 100% Correct. I myself, haven't seen a staff member in person in....oh....idk...maybe 3 or 4 months? Maybe more? Yea, so you would guess that I haven't won anything yet. I'm not the kinda person who is lucky in everything they do...I'm not going to sit my virtual butt in a virtual chair for hours while I rub my rabbit's foot and kiss a horseshoe. I have BETTER things to do! This is *almost* as bad as the halloween maze event! (Yes....I WENT THERE! That's how frustrated I am!)

This is going to be SUCH a fun filled month. I just Can't WAIT.

IMHO this is the worst thing VMK has ever done. I know a couple ppl who have wrote vmk talking about it.

that is horrible!! I have dream ears but... I am so supprised that a host even said Hi to me!! i mean this is ridiculous i cant even walk around with rare anymore without being attacked by someone saying "Give me your ears!" "i will trade this for ears!" its annoying bc ears arnt even tradable nd even if they were iwouldnt trade them!

At first i was thinking "Yes ok so were not doomed hosts have new items!" but the way they are handling the new items not cool at all..

I really wish they did a better job "Granting peoples wishes"...

but its not all their fault...

how in the world did that rude girl get a room? If i were a host i wouldve banned her for a day and said "I hope your wish came true!" in the ban notice...this is just horrible!!

I hope the rude girl isnt rude anymore...but then again since she got what EVERYONE wants she might as well just be snobbish about it..uggg this is crazy!! * rolls eyes*

But I'm just saying, if everyone had ears, they wouldn't be so special anymore. Let's face it, they are UGLY. Nobody would wear them.

If everybody in a room was awarded a prize, let's say that's 200 ppl a day x 27 more days of September would give over 5000 ppl a prize. I'd say that's more than a small fraction of players.

And Dreams are not being crushed... This is a virtual game. Can we all keep a proper perspective on this? Sure, I want that princess room as badly as any of you, but I certainly am not going to say that my "dream" is being crushed. I have much bigger dreams than a virtual room

When I first found out it what the theme of the month was my very first thought is all those people that the staff knows and are friendly with are yet again very lucky. I felt that when staff was awarded 50 infernos to give away and now are awarded dream items to give away. Oh well another month for me of no staff prizes.
