I hate the fact that staff go through all this effort to reading the boards to make sure no one posts answers and then scolds them in game but then they dont do squat about scammers and problems and people being harassed in VMK.

Stop babysitting DIS and spend your time better concentrated in the problems in VMK. So what if someone wants to post what door it is. Do you think we all have the time to spend 15 min just trying to get in the line, another 15 just to get in the room and then all that only to be sent to a room titled "Sorry you lose!" Add insult to injury, they keep rotating the doors so even if you did spend 4 hours trying every door, you would never win because the doors keep changing. Do we really need these measures in place? it's like we are being punished for wanting to get a prize.

I am so over these crappy HOST games. And before anyone says "dont play them then" we dont have a choice we are hostage to do these silly games if we want the HOST prize. Just sell the stuff in the stores and if people are broke they can spend 2 hours trying to guess which door for a free one. Some of us just want to buy the stuff. I wanted to create a great room idea and need more color candy canes I cant seem to win one even though I spent 90 minutes today on the doors. I bet if they stopped doing HOST prizes the games would be dead and no one would even bother.

That would be a true testament to what people think of these silly guessing games and tedious rules. People are only lining up with 15 mules to get candy canes and football markers. These games arent fun they are a thorn in my side.

I won't say don't play them. I'll say just trade for the items if you hate the games so much. :/ It sounds like you only rally dislike the door games, they do have a pretty good variety all month, so check if there are any other kinds of games you would be willing to play.

Yeah, in EVERY other game, I get so close to winning, like the last round, and boom! I lose.

Well, I love it because people quickly cycle through, thus it is easier to get into the Queue. And now that my DC pet has kicked the bucket, I have had a harder time getting in anywhere else.

I am scared to think what a pin trading event will be like in the future... The King of Pin Trading will most likely have to give up his title...

Just placing my vote - I like the pick a port games. Quick lines, prizes for many, good event.

I'm sorry you find them frustrating. I guess my thought is - I would rather be able to try 10 times and get it wrong, than never even be able to try because I cant get in.

I understand your plight as it is my own as well (I do in fact support you). I usually depend on the nice Quests that Fin throws out there for us: the true alternative to trying to deal with the Host games.

For instance, this morning: the quest was relatively easy, but I got my second green Candy Cane and first Wreath pin. The Hosts usually find a way to help out everyone, and make sure that everyone gets a HOST item by the end of the month.

Like Pirate-Emery comments, since the dc monster has been kicked it's very difficult to get into a Host Game so I see your frustration. I agree with you some what Stephen, it seems it would be nice to just be able to buy the stuff. Maybe for the "Host specials" they charge 2-4 times the expected amount but still give away free in their rooms. Like instead of 500 for the blue candy cane, they charge 2000 for green and still use it as a prize. That could work. And/or only put it on sale the last weekend of the month or some such.

Still, I'm with mtlhddoc2, Chedstro, and Disney Dreams... I love the pick-a-porter games. With some exception, they're the only ones I ever seem to win or even get in to. The queue moves so quickly that it's pretty easy to get in. And if you fail it's not that difficult to get back in. And yes some of the hosts move the porters (I notice Phin moves most), not all do, nor do every time. Combine that with the fact that they usually do several pick-a-ports during any month and, well, the chances are pretty good you can get the prize.

But even if all that fails, as Shaymojack suggests, you can always trade for them. And near the end of the month when people are flush with the prizes they aren't usually that expensive.
