I know you get the shifts no one wants when you have the CP so I am guessing hospitality you probably get the middle of the night shifts.. Am I Right? I don't mind the weird shifts I'm actually strangely excited to do a middle of the night shift... :)

Generally, no.

Third-Shift Front Office shifts are hired separately from First- and Second-Shifts. Disney Internships and Programs Participants are generally not placed in such roles.

While it may be possible to be requested to work the third-shift, it generally doesn't happen.

One of my roommates worked front-desk at All-Star. She tended to work till between midnight and 2am. It wasn't that late, compared to some of the MK workers that had to work the 3am EMH shifts!

Thank for the response! I'm used to staying up late because of my roommates and I have all night classes for my major so I think the later shifts would be better for me :)

As has already been mentioned, typically CPs in a front desk role will get out by 2. Once in a while they may be asked to extend to help cover 3rd shift if someone calls in, but not often.

What other jobs are there for hospitality? I know there is front-desk, but are there other jobs that the CPs have to do?

I've been thinking about making hospitality as one of my choices when I apply for the Spring 2012, and I don't hear about this job that much here in the fourms, so I was just wondering what they do.

Sometimes they might train you for Back Office, and those would usually be day shifts as well. Concierge desk is usually only open until 10pm
I was also a front desk runner, where you might help guests who are locked out of their rooms, deliver items from the florist, or go to pick up items from theme parks. Depending on what resort you work at the hours vary. Pop Century had runners until 12:30am

VERY rare for a CP to get trained in Back Office. Not going to say it's impossible, just very rare. As for Front Desk Runner shifts, at my resort, the PM runner leaves at 8 ... I guess Pop is a bit different.

It seems like CPs mostly do front desk. Do they also tell you to do things such as help guest with luggage, heavy lifting stuff like that? And what do you exactly do in front-desk? Just check people in?

Luggage was a separate department at Pop. I'm not sure if any of them were CPs or not. At front desk you do Check ins/outs, collect payments, address guest service issues, answer questions, give directions. At the Concierge desk they deal with ticket sales, and shipping service. That's about the only time I needed to lift something heavy, when a guest had a package delivered or was shipping one.

I'm pretty sure that role is Bell Hop. My friend was in that role at animal kingdom lodge. He had a lot of free time, and always got pizza(they had a jar that they put tips in, as they were in a non tipped role, and they used it to get pizza and other fun things)
