Hospital issued birth certificates w/ raised seal???

Just wondering if anyone has ever sailed DCL using a HOSPITAL issued birth certificate? Not one that says it is from the state? This particular one is from the state of New Jersey issued for a birth in the year of 1949. Something is telling me that the requirement is for it to be STATE issued.

Yes, you do need one that is issued by the state.

Yep...a Hospital BC will NOT work. Has to be from the State.

One good thing about requiring passports is there will no longer be any confusion on if a birth certificate is valid
