this is not exciting.... almost dull...
you ride with their guides on a path the horse knows so well he would do without you.
the only excitment will happen when some nut allows his horse to eat....
then the guides will come up behind and hit your horse..... who will gallup away....
that says sometimes you can see wildlife - deers, bunnies, once a fox, that type of stuff.
if your son can ride he won't enjoy this one.
one yes - there is also the getting on and off the horse. Once they (guides) had trouble with a person who was at the weight limit 250lbs... he had problems getting off the horse - so they changed it....
it is a pain if you know how to get on and off a horse - if you don't it is fine - even helpfully.... but I hate it.
you get up on this thing (see link)

and fall on to the horse - you come off by pulling yourself over on this thing...
if you want to really ride a horse go offsite

you can also do a real rodeo in the area too.
