I want to do horseback riding while I'm in Disney. I haven't ridden since last faire, and I'd love to try it again.
Thing is, I'll have my service dog. He's tiny and can easily just be held in my baby-carrier (one of those front carrying ones) while I'm on the horse. That's how we managed at faire (which was harder since I was using a tilting/jousting saddle and a huge horse).
My main concern is whether or not I'd be allowed to do the horseback riding. Disney doesn't allow "special needs" people to do the segway tour, it says so on their website. It doesn't say that on the horseback riding one.
Does anyone know if they'll let me do it?
Somewhat unrelated to SD's, but will they sort of show me how to get into the saddle and such? I've never ridden in a normal western saddle, nor have I gotten onto a horse without my ex's help (he sort of lifted me and Pi up there since I was too short).
Maybe there's a number I should call and ask? Would I call the disabilities people at Disney or the horse people?
