Horse Drawn Carriage to SBP

I ve got my heart set on being taken by horse drawn carriage to our ceremony at SBP, we re staying at the Poly though. I ve been told that due to the distance it is nt a possibility to be taking from Poly to Sbp but we should be able to pick up the carriage at another resort to take us to SBP. My df has come up with the idea of after his car has taken him to SBP for it to come back to the Poly to collect me & my mum & then drop us off at the other resort to pick up the carriage.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Has anyone else had to pick up their carriage at a diff resort, if so how did you get from your resort to the place of pick up?

Does anyone know if the car that takes my df to SBP would be able to come back & pick me up to take me to resort where carriage would be waiting?

I just posted a reply on the other thread but do you have a free night? I am using ours to stay at the boardwalk with my mom and matron of honor so that I will be at the Boardwalk that day to get in Cinderella's carriage. I was going to stay at the Floridian but I didn't want to get a limo just to take me to SBP.

No we dont get a free night, i wish we did. I think we may of come up with a solution or at least thats what im hoping.

Does anyone know which resorts we would be able to pick the carriage up from to take us to SBP??

I think either the boardwalk, yacht or beach club - because they are all around the same place. If you want to get the most out of the journey, maybe ask for it to collect you from the beach club as that is the furthest away so you'd get a longer ride Or if you didnt want to be in it too long, just get it from the Boardwalk and then you are only a couple of mins away.

This is something we're considering thats why I'm nattering away with myself LOL

Hiya At the moment we are booked into the Wilderness Lodge, but we want to change to the Yacht Club. The wedding at the moment is booked for the wedding pavillion - but we are thinking of changing back to our original plan of SBP and will hopefully get the landau to pick us up at the Yacht Club & take us to SBP and then after the cake cutting for it to bring us back to the Yacht Club. We'll then be using the limo to take us to various places for photos and to eat

Yep, its still just us two. We are still debating about having the actual wedding over here first with just the parents and then just the two of us for the disney wedding Decisions decisions!!

For your reception are you JUST having cake cutting or are you having a first dance & pics on the beach as well?? If so, can the Landua carriage wait to take you back as i got the impression it would nt do so, that you would have to make your own way back

Sorry, I meant cake cutting / first dance etc... we are having Stitch too and photos at SBP. We then want photos at the yacht club and the beach.

I'm going to ask my planner, I'm hopeing that the carriage will wait! Otherwise we will be back to the drawing board - surely it will wait? For that much money it better had do!!

Its crazy isnt it - my head is spinning!! I've just found someone on another thread who used the carriage and it waited for her and took her back from the WP to GF so thats good enough for me Hopefully it'll work out ok

Only diff with WP is that you DONT have your reception there, many brides go over to GF to have their reception so the carriage does nt have to wait too long. But with SBP they would also have to wait for you to have your reception which would mean the horse/horses would have to wait a round a lot longer. Im not too sure if they would therefore do this.

If they will i may like you get them to drive us over to Yacht Club & have the limo pick us up from there to then take us over to GF. At least that way my df would get a chance to sit in the carraige as well & we d get the lovely leaving shots in the carriage

That's true, I hadn't thought of that. It's roughly an hour that they'd have to wait I think at SBP, isnt it? I'm sure it would wait, especially because there is only two of us or three in your case - so doing a fake exit makes no sense. I know couples who have lots of guests do a fake exit and then the carriage brings them back to the location for photos once the guests have gone. I suppose there is no way of knowing for sure until our planners actually tell us. I'm going to email mine today and let her know about all the changes we are wanting to make (I'm sure she's going to chop my head off one of these days LOL ) and will ask her the questions about the coach. I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything.

Yeah, thats true - I just feel so bad for changing my mind all the time Its mainly because of the weather and our budget - its those two things that make my head spin because they affect most decisions

I'm sure we'll both get there eventually and everything will be perfect

I've never been to the GF before but from what I've read the GF has its own monorail stop / station at the resort and I think you can hop on it and it will take you straight to the Poly.
