Horror make-up show

It wasn't exactly my favorite thing because I hate horror movies and I'm terrified of blood/gore, but I will admit it was a funny show.

I just remember being scared to death by a lady in the lobby who tried to grab my hand with a rubber hand she was holding!! Lol!

I am also not a fan at all of horror movies, but the show is amusing because it takes you behind-the-scenes of some aspects of horror movies. The only part I didn't watch most of was when they showed those little snippets of scenes from horror movies. The other movie scenes were fine (for me), though.

On my first time walking into the show's lobby, after being greeted by the TM, I felt something on my arm. I looked down, and it was this gruesome-looking arm. I think I jumped a little, was freaked out for a few seconds, until I realized what it was.

The second time I went, there was a different TM standing at the entrance, and you know what I did? I looked to see if he had his arm behind his back, to see if he was hiding anything, haha.

Both times that I've seen the show (so far), the host has chosen an adult female to come up on stage. And like beckysmith said, they do choose a child to "pick on," usually someone who is sitting towards the front.

Everyone's given good tips so far. I wanted to add a FYI that this show does have adult themes at times.

I'm struggling to understand why anyone would not find someone scaring somebody with a fake arm hilarious :lmao:

I think because some people are very upset by invasion of personal space.I could care less, but I have respect for others that do not like it

Fake arm on my arm = hilarious
Fake arm ending up in personal areas = not funny and pretty offensive

My last couple times she wasn't going for arms... but really.. dead horse and I will stop beating it. Sorry OP - really off topic!! :guilty:

At least three times in the past 2 months. But like I said, I've started just leaving when I see her. I thought about taking video to submit - but who would you send it to?

Edit: I was there March 13th with my sisters and I warned them. They said they never had any trouble. I was actually behind my sister when *creepy old lady* came up with her fake arm to to grope my sister. I grabbed her arm (I know- but I was stopping her) and asked her to please not touch us. It was really uncomfortable and we left. I just don't understand how it is ok?
I've never seen this happen either.

I would complain at Guest Services. This lady may not even realize that this bothers some people.

They always try to pick a lady who doesn't speak too well English. Also they always pick on a young boy sitting in the front row.

Sometimes a bra makes its way into the show, so that might be something some people may not want to introduce to their children just yet.

Just another heads-up...

I've literally seen the show almost 700 times since Jan 2010, so if anyone has questions, feel free to PM me. :)

DD, 8 got a kick out of the lady in the lobby with the fake arm scaring people.

DD did not like the show. She turned white as a sheet and told me she was going to throw up and had to get out of there. I told her to just close her eyes until there was a natural break in the show and we could leave gracefully. she remained white as a sheet and shaky for a good long time afterward. I'm not sure how I'm ever going to get to see the show! :(

Ive actually never seen this in the show. Seen it on youtube but never actually in the act when I go. It's really hit and miss and hard to decide.

Been going since 2004 or 2005 and see this show every time. Love it.

They make a comment about playtex bra's instead of latex material used in horror films. Not going to say anything more for spoilers.:thumbsup2

Sounds like you need to plan an adults only trip to Universal and leave the kids home!

I've seen this show several times and I'v seen two different pairs of presenters do the show. I must say that I have my favourites as they are funnier.
In fact I'd say that this is a fun show rather than a scary show.

I have to agree with your first comment -- some of the actors are definitely funnier and better at performing the show than others.

I also agree that it's more of a funny show than scary. I was a little scared the first tiem I saw the show, and some of it did bother me, but it's just a case of being able to distinguish what is real and what isn't. It's something everyone should try to do at least once.

I love the creepy old lady! She gets me every time! And I love watching her scare other people. It keeps me entertained until showtime!

I find the show more cheesey than scary but love it anyway :thumbsup2
