Horrible food is what I remember about Disney.

I never said my daughter didn't like her job...in fact she loves her job! She is a young pastry chef who is amazingly talented. She does the wedding cakes at the Floridian. She just thinks the food is average. Different strokes for different folks. :wave2:

In my opinion, with few exceptions, the food around WDW is just so-so, but always overpriced. But that's to be expected. First of all, you're in the middle of the largest vacation resort in the world. Not like you can go to the competitor across the street and expect a better price. Second, if you're going to WDW for the food, you've made a mistake in the first place. I don't think there are too many people who would forgo a WDW vacation because the food isn't superlative, so I suspect it's not the highest priority for the resort. Besides, in many cases, you're paying for the atmosphere. Marrakesh is the most unimpressive Morroccan food I've ever eaten, but I don't mind because the decor and atmosphere is fun and festive (and I dig the bellydancers too pirate: ). The only park restaurant I think is worth going out of the way for is Akershus. As for MK, everything tastes bland there, but as I said, I don't go to MK to eat.

We have reservations for Artists Point next Thursday, which I'm really looking forward to. The menu there makes me think I might yet eat at a place in WDW where the food impresses me as much as the surroundings. Although I do expect to have to enter into a second mortgage by the time we're finished in there. ;)
