Has anyone had any experience with staying at this resort? I have always stayed on-site at WDW but we are looking into staying at an off-site location this Nov. My in-laws have already booked here and I am thinking of jumping on board. I would like some feedback beforehand. Thanks!

We went in 2003 when they just had two buildings. The kids had a great time. Lots of different activities, the pools were nice. The rooms were nice, loved the jacuzi tub in the one room. Right down the road from Sea World. We'd go back there again.

We have stayed in a 2 bed villa for the past two years and LOVED it.

We are going to Disney this year and seriously considering staying here the whole week and not splitting our time with Beach Club Villas as we have in the past. The kids' activities are not to be believed and the pools are just terrific. One has a pirate ship with 3 small water slides and the other has a very long water slide and an adjacent water spray park. There is a basketball court, mini golf and many things for kids to do, including a parents-night-out program and breakfast with pirates.

Truly a great place. Wish it were closer to Disney - about 15 mins - but is directly across the street from Sea World and is about 10 mins to Universal.

We haven't been, but I researched it quite a bit for our Sept. stay (then found too good of a deal to pass up at HGVC in a 3BR!), and it sounded just wonderful. It seems like everyone has great things to say about it, and I haven't one read negative thing about rooms or experiences...hard to say that about many other places! We have tried MGV and I'd like to try Horizons in between one of our DVC stays.

We were ther last August, adn would go back any time; the little water park they have is great for the kids, we spent a whole day just using that and the other pools.

The rooms were very nice also; full amenities, washer dryer, full kitchen, etc. :thumbsup2

We are owners and have been going a few times a year for the past 5 years. Great resort, great staff, and our kids love it. If you have smaller kids it is a very compact resort and easy to get to everything with lots of activities.

If you don't like kids or want a romantic week - avoid
If you are just sleeping there and want to commando the parks - avoid - you will do better on site at a Disney resort.

If you want a balance of Disney and non Disney activities it is a great choice. Say hi to Rafo and Matt the bartenders for me :)
