Hi, folks. I am planning our ten day trip for seven people in mid-October. I was thinking we could hop to DHS in the evening of our first day, with LLSP and LLMP waiting for us. But that day is predicted to be an 8 at DHS. is it feasible to hop to a park with that kind of crowd, in the evening? We would be coming from AK.

Thanks!

I pay no attention to crowd calendars.

Is there a special ticketed event that night?
If so then I'd consider choosing another day if possible.

No worries if you hop to HS with 3 pre-booked LLMP selections and an LLSP you can have a great evening and catch Fantastic or Fireworks.

Remember that the 8 is just and estimate and it often does drop off in the evening depending on the day of week. What day of the week and are there any MNSSHP nights at MK that may draw off part of the evening crowds?

You’ll be fine. The crowd levels refer to the wait times. If you have pre booked lightning lanes, then you’ll be able to do plenty.

Are you planning to get the LLMP for HS from the morning? or you will get those after you tap in the AK? I only ask because I have noticed most of the "good" LLs are unavailable at HS by about 11am - so if you're planning on getting those as you tap into AK, there may be slim to no options at HS

It's Wednesday, Oct. 16. There is no Halloween Party at MK, and there is Extended Evening Theme Park Hours at DHS.
So that's not a good night to go to DHS?

The plan is to get a Single Pass for Rise for that night, plus any MP we can get after tapping into AK. Maybe not Slinky Dog, but TOT or TSMM? We will probably do Slinky standby just before closing time.

This is just my personal opinion but if it were me and I was not staying in a deluxe resort I'd consider switching which day I hop there IF POSSIBLE. But if that day is what works best then go for it. Its not going to be that big of a deal.

It certainly is possible, since we'll be at WDW for ten days.
But can you explain why? DHS has heavy crowds in the evening, the same day as extended evening theme park hours?

Just think about it logically...
If I were staying deluxe I would be hopping to the park a few hours prior to regular park close and then staying to take advantage of the extended evening hours.
I can bet a lot of other guests staying deluxe would do the same.
If I were a non deluxe guest I would likely choose to go to that park in the morning that day.
Like I said though do what works best for you. Overall its not going to be the end of the world if you choose to go that evening.

Thanks for the responses.
I changed the plan; we'll be hopping to Epcot that night, with a Single Pass for Guardians.
Related question: do you think we'll be able to book a LL for Remy or Frozen while we're still in the AK?

You can try but likely they will be full and you’ll be hoping for a dropped reservation. In Aug I tried for a solid 45 mins one afternoon to find Remy that day for a family of 4 and it never, ever showed up.
