Hopping to an evening EMH park after closing another park?

Planning question...let's assume for a second that there will still be evening EMH this fall as they have been in the past (yes, I know with the latest news of after dark parties and new hours for AK there is no garantee of ANYTHING, but just humor me)...

Does it make sense to hop to a park after closing at another park, or will the EMH be over by the time we get there? Specifically, I'm thinking about hopping to MK for EMH after a HS or AK day...BUT, we will be wanting to see the new night activities at HS (Star Wars show) and AK (ROL, etc.) - I think HS is listed as a 9 pm close in the fall, but that could change - and we KNOW AK will have to be open later than 5...so...what time would we have to be leaving those parks in order to make it to EMH at MK? Just wondering if it will even be an option...

That is a very common thing to do.
Just make sure to hop soon enough to do what you intend to do at the second park.
Generally, I'd not want to wait until the first park "closed" to hop.
Figure that it will take you 45-60 min. to get to the second park.

So, basically, we would have to give up seeing the nighttime shows (ROL, Star Wars Spectacular) at AK/HS in order to make it to MK in time for the EMH? :(

I just did this last Wednesday with a 9:30 close of HS and hopped to magic kingdom for 11-1am EMH. We left right after the fireworks and it took about 30mins via bus to get there. No hopes of seeing wishes but we saw the parade. We rode big thunder buzz and space and then had a late night snack. Not the crowds we were hoping for but it was worth it to us.

ONLY if the timing on YOUR night made that situation necessary.

There are many nights when the end of events at the first park will allow travel time to the MK EMH with no problems.

As seashell7290 above said, the MK EMH didn't start on that night until 11pm.

We do it all the time. We have left Epcot after a 9PM close and gone to the MK for a few hours (times when it was open until 11 or midnight and it wasn't even necessarily an EMH night). Plan for 1 hour for transportation, and you should be fine.

We do the same thing at least a few times every vacation and unusually to MK. We love that park at night and get a ton done!
