we are planning to park hop HS to Epcot. We're staying off-site this time so I'm wondering if I should move our car or not. I would just take the ferry over but don't know if it's worth it to have to go back at night to get our car. And if it's late will the ferry still run? I know we can walk but doubt my daughter will be willing at night.

Walking would be a little over 3 miles. I wouldn't walk lol.

Definitely just drive the car over. Could take the bus, but I'd drive to save the time from going back to get the car later.

I'd definitely drive it and have your car where you will be at the end of the night. It's a quick and easy drive.

I would move your car to Epcot. If HS closes at 8 on the night in question, the last boat leaves HS at around 9 --perhaps a bit earlier if no more passengers waiting to leave HS. So, if you stay at Epcot until after Illuminations, the ferry will not go all the way back to HS.

I believe there's a bus that runs between DHS and the front (Future World) entrance to Epcot. So you might consider parking at Epcot and taking the bus to DHS in the AM. You could walk or take the boat from DHS back to Epcot if your plans start in World Showcase, or take the bus if you want to start in Future World. As PP said, if DHS closes before Epcot you might have trouble getting back to your car after Illuminations unless you walk.

I'm not sure where you got that. It's about a mile - an easy 20 minute walk.

I would just start the day by parking at the park you plan on being at in the evening and not moving the car.

We just did this in March. However, DHS closed after Epcot, so we knew there would be a boat to go back to DHS from Epcot. If that's the case for your stay, then I would say do that. It worked really well. If DHS closes before Epcot, then you might want to drive to the other park when you switch, instead of taking the boat.
