hopper vs. extra day

It was not a promotion, just the regular magic your way 10 day ticket with no park hopper option. Good luck to all, it worked the week of December 12th 2005.

:rolleyes1

And tickets are not to be used this way even if it could be done.

Good grief, aside from popular opinion on this board, I am not trying to cause anyone to try something that will end up costing them more $$ in the long run or that, according to "allison" should not be done anyway. I was simply lending a cost effective piece of advice and letting everyone know what I experienced...

It is a shame that by posting an honest "tip" after stumbling across this board, that I would be treated as if I am nuts. I normally am a very laid back person and find some of this "flame throwing" comedic, but I have to say, when you are on one of the ends of the "joke" it is very annoying to say the least. How many of you have actually bought the tickets, gotten up to the gate and been turned away? "Robo", have you?

I am not a newbie to Disney, I have been many, many times and am an avid planner and am not just "thinking" that I remember this happening. I witnessed this. I know it to be a fact. I am open to the possibility that this could have been a computer glitch (although they were able to "hop" this way on more than one occassion during that week), or Disney stopped letting people do this shortly after, but it did happen.

I also do not see a problem with using tickets this way either "allison". If Disney allows a person to buy 10 days and they choose to use an entire "day" to hop over to another park so be it. The day was paid for....

As you can see, I am fairly new to posting at disboards, I mainly read tips from others, I stumbled upon this topic and thought I would lend a helpful tip that I did experience this and it worked. Too bad Robo that users like you have to discredit others, and have caused me to think twice about ever lending another tip again. Thanks!

Sorry, clicked the button twice and posted dup message

Everyone here has been civil to you.

Attempting to "Hop" using Non-hopper multi-day tickets is not allowed.
Many knowledgeable posters in this thread have said as much.
Everyone who has read the rules of hoppers vs. non-hoppers knows this to be true.

I think Allison's remark was clear, non-threatening and perfectly correct.

Please don't look to take offense when there is none intended.

How would YOU respond to someone posting incorrect information?

I'm sad to hear this. I was planning on letting my two DD's do this one day during our trip. I do understand Disney's reasoning on it though. Oh well, at least I found out here rather than in line at the parks. Thanks.
