Two of our 4 nights at DL are Halloween Party at the Disneyland Park. We have tickets to the party for one of those nights and trying to decide if hoppers are worth it, or should we just do one-park-per-day? What would you do?

That depends. Do your kids want a pool day? Can they go all evening long if they had a full day in the parks? Do they need at least one morning to sleep in? Four days at DLR is *just* long enough to see everything at a comfortable pace. Adding a park hopper for the MHP day will certainly ease your touring pace, but you can also skip the parks that morning and get some sleep, spend a few hours at the pool, then catch a big lunch outside the parks before entering that afternoon.

Would I (two adults, no kids) get a park hopper ticket for the day we attend the MHP? Yes for us, because we would want to get full days in at the parks every day that we are there (and four days is too little for us). Yes, also, because we get up early and love mornings at the parks.

Have you figured out if you'll be able to do everything else you want without hoppers? We usually end up hopping to see a show or something along the way. We never get hoppers at WDW but always do at DLR.

I always go with park hoppers because it allows me to leave a park that is too crowded to be comfortable and instead walk over to the other park that isnt. There are times when I hop over to DCA from DL just because DL was too crowded for me. Since its just across the esplanade and you don't have to leave security it is so easy and quick.

It depends; where are you staying? If on property I would take advantage of those early closings to enjoy the resort property, use the pool area, lounges etc....in that case, if you aren't taking midday break, hoppers are necessary. Before APs and even with them, we don't always hop.

East coast travelers here, so we will be tired early but up early. Yes, pool time is a goal!

I'm trying to recall if we put in all we wanted the last visit years ago. I'll have to think about it.

Great point about the crowd level.

I always do park hoppers. Will you use them at other times too?
I suppose it's easier to hop at DL, so we likely will.

Staying at GC so we will want some pool time !

We use our hoppers more when staying at GCH than when we stay at any other hotel at DL. It's just so convenient!

great point. It's a way easier, closer and more fun walk into DL if you go through the GCH DCA entrance and cross the esplanade

Couldn't have said it better myself
