Hoping to take a Springfield, Illinois trip - any advice?

Ooohhh. You all are making me homesick. I grew up outside of Springfield and go there once or twice a year to visit my parents. I've taken my DD9 to the Lincoln Museum twice and she LOVES it. Even my sophisticated New Yorker husband enjoys it.

Keep in mind it will be HOT in S'field so if you feel the need, I can recommend Knight's Action Waterpark for a half day cooling off period.

The Dana House, perhaps the best preserved of Frank Lloyd Wright's houses, is only a few blocks from the Lincoln house.
