Hoping the Rain Stays Away-We're Going Back in May-TR started

Hi MaryAz - I'm hopping on! My family was there in May 2009 as well and wow what a soaker! We are going back in March and I hope to be singing Walking on Sunshine rather than riding Katrina's waves.:sunny:

I missed so much over Cmas! So now you have two trips to plan, but no DVC? I hope you guys get the house off your hands. The market here is very weird. No specific trend. Good luck!!!

Hi Mary!
I'm pretty sure we will be there next Christmas! It's wonderful that time of year. You just have to go prepared for the crowds!
It will be fun to plan!

Hi Mary, somehow I missed the plans for a Christmas trip next year :cool1:. You may even be in your very own Disney home by then. I wish I could talk my DB into letting us use his DVC one year, but noooooooooooooo he has to be selfish and use it himself :lmao::rotfl2:. I'm glad ya'll are upgrading to APs too. We love ours. Instead of the DDP you may want to see if getting the TiW card would be a better deal. You get 20% off meals AND adult beverages. It automatically adds an 18% tip to the ticket, but I think most people leave that much or more anyway. The cost of the card is $75, well that is what I paid for ours last May. The wonderful thing about buying the APs this year is they are good for 15 months instead of 12  and the cost is the same as for the 12 months.

I am so excited that your family and Leanne's family are doing a GG . That would be so much fun. I am having some serious Disney withdrawals at this point in time. HEY HEY HEY WE ARE AT 4 MONTHS 3 WEEKS AND 4 DAYS :woohoo::banana: I can't wait to see ya'll again.

Hi! Mary
wow! a Christmas trip in 2010!! :yay: and a bday trip w/the girls sounds like you are planning alot of disney fun! hopefully the house will sell soon...tax season is here and hopefully tax rebates will help boost the interest in the market...

Hope you are enjoying your time...I know you miss the girls all the same...
 Connie

Woohoo for a Christmas trip..that sounds way better to me than cleaning house for a week to have 15 people over to demolish it again! :rotfl: DVC sounds awesome, keeping everything crossed that you can get your house sold!

I am excited. I should clarify that our house is not on the market yet. We were waiting until after the new year! DVC is my dream.

Hello again. :) I do not know how I missed that you had new postings--20 pages worth! :rotfl: I am all caught up. Congrats on booking the Poly in May. I sure wish I would get a pin code--right now we have no discounts on our room. I am hoping for free DDP but who knows what Disney has cooking up?

Sorry to hear about DVC--it will happen someday! :cloud9:

Happy Holidays!!

I wondered where you were! Thanks. I did not get a pin either. We are part of a grand gathering now and using Leanne's :) I have heard that saving trips at disney online helps. It did not work for me but maybe you. FD would be good!!
We will get DVC maybe just not as quickly as I want.....:rolleyes1

:welcome: May was wet for sure! You will have to tell me how March is. I am planning a spring trip with my ODD for her bday next year.

Yep 2 for 2010, one for 2011. We are waiting until after the New Year to put it on the market. Fingers crossed.

Thank Connie, I am hoping to convince Avery to take Cayley along :) That is why we are not putting it on the market until 2010. They slept in today and are going to see the Chipmunk movie. I am doing landury and toy purging.

Hey- I was wondering how you will use the Poly pool instead of the water park- pool hop or are you staying there? I think you are staying there, but I'm forgetting and am too lazy to go back and look! I think it's awesome that you are planning another trip at Christmas, too! I think we are gonna do APs this time, esp since they are good for 15 months right now. That will make me want to hop over all the time!! I'd love to go back at Christmas, but DH only has 1 week of vacation- stupid I think. I think he gets another week in 2011, so we might do two trips then. He wants for one week of his vacay to be the beach, but we'll see. I'm thinking maybe we can fit in a short trip over Mardi Gras break in 2011 for just the two of us- we'll see how or if we can work that out! We could maybe fly if just the two of us! Hmmmm- I have time for that- but it's nice to contemplate!
Anyway- looking forward to watching boths trips get planned!

We made it through Christmas. It was a little hectic with all the family. 5 kiddos under 5.5 and 10 other family members. Some children were whinier-is that a word? than others. :rolleyes1 The whole "experience" has prompted him to agree to a WDW Christmas trip next Dec!!!:banana::santa::yay::yay: I also plan to take the girls next spring for Avery's bday. So we will be upgrading our tickets to AP'a in May. Now all I have to do is get our old house on the market and sold so we can buy DVC!!
We leave to go back to Phx tomorrow. The girls will be staying until thurs with G'Pa and G'Ma. Yay for sleeping in!! Will check in with everyones reports tomorrow pm.

Darn housing market! Gets in the way of your Disney DVC plans!

Nice for the new trip in December. I'm jealous that you get 2 trips in one years.

Let's see,------- it will be you, Leanne and Becky staying at Poly, Lisa at CBR and us??????? I am torn between staying at Pop again, CBR, WL, AKL or maybe even CR. I posted on my page the difference in all the resorts, now I just have to wait and see what happens with my leg and see how much we get back in income tax. It would be so much fun if we could all get together one day and have lunch or dinner. They do offer a GG breakfast at Tony's with characters and it isn't usually crowded from what I read. I think it might be fun if we could all get together for something like that. I know ya'll have the Safari Celebration planned, but this is just an idea to toss around. If I count correctly there would be about 18-25 of us. Here is the information about the breakfast and also the Magical fireworks voyage. Let me know what you think and then we can run the idea by everyone else.

Good Morning Gathering

A breakfast event at Tony's Town Square Restaurant. Guests are escorted from the front gate of the Magic Kingdom and served by Tony and other Disney characters. Included is some one-on-one time with Mickey Mouse and reserved seats to experience Mickey's PhilHarmagic after breakfast. The Good Morning Gathering experience is available on selected mornings at the Magic Kingdom. Adults (10 and older) $39.99, children (ages 3-9) $19.99.

Magical Fireworks Voyage

This dessert party is hosted by Captain Hook and Smee and is followed by a cruise of the Seven Seas Lagoon to view the fireworks and Electrical Water Pageant. The evening concludes with a telling of the Peter Pan story, and Peter Pan greets your group upon return. The Magical Fireworks Voyage experience is available seasonally on selected evenings on the Seven Seas Lagoon near the Magic Kingdom. Adults (10 and older) $34.99, children (ages 3-9) $19.99.

Also dang Mary for not getting up off her booty to get that house ready to sell.

I am excited. Then one in 2011 then Peepfest in 2012-I want to do the world and the cruise so will be saving big $$$ for that :)

I will have to go and look at your report. We liked CBR, plan to buy DVC at AKL....I have heard great hings about WL and you know POP-decisions decisions.

I think both GG look great. I am also up for a dinner somewhere. Told Jeff about the TIW card, we may do that instead of the dining plan. Or if we run out of dining plan then we could use it for those meals we pay OOP. Hmmm
