We are not even there yet and we are already having some issues .
So our vacation was split to get the different DP plans.
Our first night we are spliting our party into 2 studios because we never got out wait list. From the second night on, we are staying in a 2 bedroom at Jambo house. Now, we paid for the deluxe DP a while back for the first night as it was already a separate reservation and now that I wanted to book the dinner show I was told that they could not book us using the DP but that we have to pay for it and then get our money back at the resort when we check in. After several calls I then decided to call DWD directly to attempt to have them book it for us, they tried for a while and I was told that they could not do it because the system won't allow it because of the way they split our reservation.
Talking about stressing out!:headache:

I think you should be able to go online with your reservation # and book the dinner show on the Dining site, without being charged. If it asks you to pay, then I guess you are stuck. Sometimes the dining site is quirky and wants people to pay that have the dining plan (not just DVC, but all guests).

But I have paid for prepaid meals in the past and then got a credit at the restaurant, so that shouldn't be an issue.

There are definitely issues though with these segmented reservations and what the system will allow to be done.

Call MS and have them do it. They were able to do it for me that the dining line could not.

I also have a split reservation and because of it, the system did not register me checking in that day.

But, when I called MS, they did something and got me a reservation at CRT and I didn't have to pay.

The only thing that makes me nervous about this whole thing is that it does not show up on my reservations, even though I have a confirmation # for it. MS says its there but the Disney site does not recognize it. The rest of my reservations are there.

Good luck!
