We are going to Epcot the first day. We are all going into the park so we activate our MYW tickets. I will then go over to the ticketing booth(I need to exit?) and upgrade all our passes to AP. Will we all need to go to the booth or can I do it for all 4 of us and my wife and kids can go do something while I do all the upgrades. We will also hopefully be DVC members by then too if that makes any difference.

We also plan on paying for the upgrade by using a bunch of $100 gift cards.

Thanks

You don't need to exit. You need to go to guest services. There is one by the international gateway. There is another near the front entrance of the park. Your wife will need to be with you show her ID too. Kids don't need to show ID if they are under 18. Yes, it makes a difference if you are DVC members because you can buy a discounted AP by showing your membership ID.

Thanks I would have hated to get in line and then need to get back in line with my wife after I found her.

You're welcome! We have been getting AP's for a few years now, so I understand. The first time I had everything written down how much the new AP would be and what I should get in credit for my ticket if bridged properly. That is helpful to know ahead of time too, so you can be sure you aren't being charged too much. Also, have all your MB's with you because they use them in the process too - even for the kids.

Yes, make sure you have your DVC membership card. One year I forgot it at home. Guest services was not able to verify that we are DVC members from our driver's license which I found odd. I had to call home and have a family member read me my DVC member number from a handy magnet they use to send us. If you are DVC by then, familiarize yourself with the two options for AP's so you know which ones you want before getting up to the window.

Last week I bridged a MYW ticket bought before the price hike. Bridging the ticket at Guest Services allowed us to upgrade at a cost based off the new ticket prices. Not a huge difference (~$7-$8), but it was a pleasant surprise.

That is very nice! We have renewed our AP's twice so I haven't bridged ours in awhile, but I did one for my DD and it worked fine for it. I still have tickets I bought at a discount from UT and Orbitz that I plan to use and hopefully bridge over the next two years.

I did not know there was a guest services inside Epcot near the IG. Where exactly is it? Thanks.
I am sorry I was wrong. It is not inside. It is opposite the ticket booth, which is right outside the park by IG before you go down the path to the boats.

There is a guest services in the park to upgrade to AP's. After you enter the park, go under the ball, it's to your left.
