Hopeful new member BCV wait list question

We are currently in the ROFR process on a BCV resale. We have a trip planned from Nov. 23rd to Dec. 2nd. from the 23rd to the 25th (Thanksgiving friday to sunday) we are staying at AKL to do the sunrise safari and then planned to stay at the swan.

BUT WAIT A MINUTE! my wife asks why I wasn't going to use our points assuming we get them - I answered I didn't think we would be able to get in.

SO.... the question is if we want to stay at a BCV studio from the 11/25 to the 12/2, do we have a snowball's chance in heck in getting in this last on the waitlist?

Any other thoughts/prayers/advice? (and BTW, my wife doesn't want to stay anywhere else)

You may have a chance but I don't know if it's very good. Those dates were already booked when I was checking last week. Unless maybe you went with a larger sized unit.

Then again, someone will cancel.

Very unlikely.

If you go with a one bedroom, your odds might be better. We own at BCV but if you do not get in try some of the other resorts. We love VWL and Boardwalk.

Don't cancel your existing reservations.

Tell your wife you will try to get BCV for your November 2007 trip after you close on your resale, but she shouldn't plan on it. (Too many members on the waitlist ahead of you). However, you can promise her BCV for the next trip (and then make sure you book it when the 11 month window opens).
