Storm moving in. The coast is right on the line, may be rain, sleet, snow, ice..... depends on how far down the "snow line" get....

To my fellow NYC area peeps, stay safe! :wizard:

I hate when they don't know exactly what's going on. They're saying rain where I work, but snow where I live. Argh!

:scared1:

In NYC, they are describing it as a WINTERY MIX.

I left my WINTERY MIX clotting at home.

But aside from the threat of <gasp> snow and sleet.....NYC is even better than I remember it.

People talk about winning the lottery and buying a home in Orlando.

If I win the lottery....I'm buying an apartment in Manhattan!

Kevin - I live in the Albany area, and I am a state worker in Albany.
My DH and I used to travel to NYC about 3 weekends a year.
I came to absolutely LOVE the area of lower Manhattan; an area called
" Battery Park City " There are huge buildings of apartments or condos, and they overlook the Hudson River.
There is a fantastic social area and walkway called "The Esplanade". This runs all along the edge of the Hudson River, and you can see the Statue of Liberty in the distance.

If you have not seen this area,I sure hope that someday you get a chance to go there.

THIS is where I always wanted to get a condo - but only if I hit that lottery.

The Esplanade would be my backyard.

I remember on Sunday mornings we used to sometimes see some people sitting on the benches, reading the Sunday papers.

It is not even that bad out. You can borrow Patrick's umbrella.

Turned out to be a chilly, rainy day for those of us directly on the coast. Just a bit inland, they did get snow and the roads weren't great.
