Yes. I'm talking to those of you who are well within the 180-day mark for making ADRs, those of you who hate getting on that phone and making the call to WDW dining, and those of you resist making ADRs because you just can't pull the trigger on finalizing your plans. Each of those statements also describe me.

Yet, I am here to tell you there is hope. My family of three heads to WDW on 4 June, and I just called for our ADRs yesterday. For those of you mathematically challenged, that's 123 days out. . .57 days under the 180-day standard. For those of you who dial the very minute you hit the 180-day mark, I know this must seem sacrilegious. But, many of us just don't have that gene imbedded in us, so we must cope how we can. And it is to them I speak.

I called yesterday and made six ADRs for the week, including Le Cellier, PSB, Cindy's Gala Feast, Fantasmic pkg. at the Brown Derby, Artist Point, and a concurrent ressie for the Cub's Den for our DD5 while we're at AP. Granted, none of these are the highest profile meals at WDW, such as the CRT breakfast. Still, they aren't must-avoid spots, either. Not only did we get these places, but we got the times we wanted to boot. So, to those of you still deciding where and when to go--and now under the 180-day "deadline"--take heart! Just don't wait too long. . .;)

I just made my ADR's yesterday and we are going in less than a month.
Normally though, unless it's some special occasion or a large crowd, I won't even made ADRs until I get to WDW...or sometimes even <gasp> the day I want to go to the restaurant!!! :)

The first time we went three years ago, we made the decision about the trip itself with only four months or less to go, much less any reservations, about which we were nearly clueless. With about six weeks to go, we made a PSB reservation, then waited to do our others when we got there and scoped out all that Disney had to offer. For first timers, the whole Disney experience was a bit overwhelming. Still, we decided to eat at both WCC and AP (we were staying at VWL), doing the former on a walk-up basis for dinner (10-minute wait) and calling the day before for the latter (also for dinner) where we easily got a 6:30 p.m. ressie. I know for some places and some times, the ressies are hard to come by, but in our four trips we've never had issues with securing ADRs when and where we want almost without exception. That I'm so "far ahead" this time is only due to my military training! lol Bon apetit! :thumbsup2

Hi, I am still making and changing :confused3 my ADR's and we will be there in less than 2 WEEKS!! I had to redo my plans for which park on which day because we will be there over Pres.Day weekend and EE MAY be open! Plus I tried to do the EMH park at NIGHT! Joan

Nothing wrong with making last-minute ADRs, and often they work out. I think we get numbed by the numerous posters who can't get a particular time at a particular day of a hard-to-get ADR and then assume we can't get anything unless we plan very far ahead. Granted, busy seasons can be tougher, too. Good luck with catching EE. :)

I think that it helps not to have a "set time" mentality. If I have to eat a little earlier or later it doens't really bother me. In fact, when I cal WDW Dine I usually ask for adrs at "around X time". :) Never have had a problem.

We're also going the fourth of June, and I finally made our reservations yesterday. We are on the dining plan and are going to Whispering Canyon Cafe, CRT breakfast, Chefs de France, Boma and Sci-Fi. Now it finally seems real! :tigger:
