OKay DH has asked me to post this(i wonder why!!)

Has anybody been??, whats the food like ,cost wise is it resonable, and where is the closest in relation to disney.

Jules

Hi Jules,

We went fro the first time last October to the one in Lake Buena vista, behind Pirate's cove Golf.

The food as usual in a novelty restaurant was mediocre and there wasn't all that much of a novelty to it:rolleyes: The servers weren't paticularly friendly and their uniforms and the place looked a bit 'worn out'.The best thing was the gift shop, they had lots of great souveniers, many of them trendy tops.

I wouldn't exactly reccomend it or say don't bother:confused: What I'm wondering is if The Hooters in another place might be more fun.I think there is one at The Mercardo,I can imagine that would be more modern and probably have an 'upbeat' instead of deadbeat atmosphere.

we walked past the one at the Pointe Orlando, and although we didn't go inside, it looked quite fun - they had music playing and people where doing that dance where you have to go under a stick (what is that called???)

It seemed like quite a lively atmosphere

The wings were very good, the rest of the food was OK. We had a busier day obviously, the atmosphere was reasonable. I wouldn't avoid it in future but I wouldn't make a special effort to revisit either.

I agree the Point Orlando looked the better of the two venues.

Money's no object as far as I can see, Jules ;) But for some reason V's never added it to our places to visit:rolleyes:

Let uz know what Andy thinks if you go.

That was where I meant,Pointe Orlando not the Mercado:rolleyes: I would give it a go for a laugh but deffo go to Pointe Orlando and not LBV Hooters.

It was my teens who really wanted to go in there originally,I think they see Hooters quite often in American teen movies. My poor DH really didn't want to go in..........much!;)

Check them out at www.hooters.com. I honestly think this is one place that guys just want to say been there, done that, and got the t-shirt.

Under lots of pressure from the rest of the party that I was with, I finally succumed and went to Hooters on our last two trips!!!
The food is OK and I agree Pointe Orlando was better but that was two years ago, went to Lake Buena Vista last year and it was a little"tired".
But nothing to do with the skin top tops and hot pants that they wear I would recommend the visit, even if it is to watch the many screens of sport that are there...if you believe that, well!
Enjoy, well hubby will

Anthony

Anthony,

They didn't have sports screens in the LBV Hooters. The Pointe Orlando one sounds much more fun:)

oh well if it is showing sport thats definately a NO NO then, I get enough of that at home i dont need it on holiday LOL!!!!.

Steph,

Had you heard that Hooter's was seeking a building permit on The Prince William Parkway? Right across from Target!

You're kidding right? Did they receive it? You know that's about ten minutes from my house.

That's just going to make the traffic that much worse on PW Parkway, it's hell as it is. :(

They did have one in Birmingham's Broad Street - but it's shut now :(

.....so I've been told! - LOL
