This winter is killing us.
I couldn't take it anymore so I took a chance and was able to get in at OKW in a studio (over the weekend so the points are crazy but I DON'T CARE) for 3/18 - 21.
Spending the balance of our trip with family on the west coast.

Just had to share our excitement with everyone.
It occured to me, heavy cooking with a studio isn't possible so I guess we'll have to eat out every night - bummer;)
Any suggestions?

Hooray!!:sunny:

Have fun....and have a Tradewinds at Olivia's for us!!:sunny:

That's great news. Last weekend DH and I spent a lot of time discussing and getting prices for a cruise for this weekend, we felt we HAD to get away. Alas, the airfares killed the deals.

Have fun, that's the start of my spring break, we're spending it in Florida.

Bobbi:D

Good for you!! As a fellow long islander, I feel your desire to get away. This weather is so depressing. I am jealous, but hope you have a wonderful trip!! I keep saying to my dh, let's try for a long weekend next winter, please. Have a great time. The Yachtsman at the Y&BC is one of our favorites now for dinner. Yes, it is pretty expensive, but great food.:D

For a somewhat expensive grown-up meal, try the Brown Derby at MGM. It's one of the few places in North America where you can get the original Cobb Salad. Unlike what's served in restaurants today, the salad (which originated at the Brown Derby in Hollywood) is chopped so finely that a chef would call it "riced," and you can eat it with a spoon. The taste is indescribable but really delicious. If you like a Cobb Salad, you'll be amazed by the original. The other food at the Brown Derby is also excellent; last November the rack of lamb blew us away.
