Hooray!! Waitlist came through today!!

I'm so happy that MS called to say our waitlist for 2 additional nights at OKW have come through (and I just requested them 10 days ago!)

The original reservation was made four months ago, but then we needed to adjust our arrival/departure dates.

I was bummed that there were no 2BR's available at any of the DVC's, and went ahead and made a "back-up" ressie for 2 regular rooms at WL.

I feel really that my waitlist came through so quickly; the only problem is that I got so revved up over the last 10 days about staying at WL that I'm just a teeny bit disappointed now!

Looks like it will have to be VWL for us next time!!

You would love VWL but as an OKW regular you would kind of miss OKW even while you were enjoying the heck out of VWL!

I'm glad you got your waitlist! I wish mine would come thru. I am still waiting for two days at Christmas and three days at Thanksgiving. Hmmm, I wonder if my travel dates might have something to do with it.

It might!

Last year we went during the first week of December. It was our first DVC vacation and even though we bought at Saratoga Springs, I tried for the Villas at WL because I thought the atmosphere would be Wintery/Christmasy. Our waitlist never did come through, but we really enjoyed SS.

I was a bit worried because I was new to DVC and one of the selling points for me was the ability to sample different resorts throughout the years. I learned later that this time of year is VERY popular for DVCers because of the low points and the holiday events/decorations.

So now my attitude toward waitlisting is "hope for the best, but have an alternate plan, just in case."
