I just had to say. HOORAY for my BARELY 40" tall 5 yr old who will get to ride "Stitch's Great Escape" as per Allearsnet.com the height requirement has been lowered to 38" !!!!

Actually the height requirement was raised to 38'', it was originaly only 35''. Either way though he will get to go on the ride.

I hope he really likes scary dark rides???
I haven't rode stitch yet but it seems like they only changed the theme from alien encounter to stitch. My dd at 5 when we were there would not have been able to handle that ride. I personally thought ride was stupid and not fun at all. Actually its not a ride at all because you don't move at all. Just turn out the lights and try to scare you with noises and lights. It should be pretty scary for a 5 year old.

I was surprised how "scary" the ride still is -- my 8-year-old nephew freaked out after about a minute in pitch black darkness (and this is a kid who loves Pirates and the Haunted Mansion). He wanted to leave, but the restraints seemed to make that pretty impossible. I can see why they bumped the height requirement up 3", but maybe they should just try to tone the effects down a notch.
