I cannot say enough positive things about our dinner at Le Cellier. Seriously. Everything about it from start to finish was absolutely outstanding.
We arrived ridiculously late for our ADR time of 4:50, due to a pop up thunderstorm and missing the Epcot bus by about 30 seconds. I think we were a full 30 minutes late. Not only did they still let us in, but we were seated immediately and given a table in the British Columbia section. The hostess explained that the restaurant is set up into sections representing the different provinces of Canada and explained a little bit about our particular section.
We quickly met our server, Jill, who my husband and I agreed was the best server we have ever encountered in our ENTIRE LIVES. She was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable about everything on the menu and her recommendations were spot on about everything.
We enjoyed every one of the bread offerings, especially the pretzel bread. I had the Cheddar Cheese soup, and my husband had the ceasar salad. Both were delicious. I wanted to lick the soup bowl clean. My husband tried some of mine and agreed it was delicious.
I had the fillet and my husband had the bone in ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly to our specifications. The truffle butter they put on the fillet is beyond words. It made the fillet amazing and juicy. My daughter had the kids pasta and a side of fries. I didn't realize that when you order fries at Le Cellier, even for kids, they give you the truffle fries!!! They were brought out much later than the entrees, so they were taken off the bill. I was amazed, and even though they are "fancy" my daughter loved them.
For dessert, my husband had the lemon cheesecake, I had the chocolate mousse, and my daughter had a huge sundae. If you want you mousse in the shape of a moose on the adult menu, just ask. It doesn't normally come this way.
The drinks are what part of made dinner above and beyond for us. My husband had the beer flight, which is an outstanding value for $8.50. And I had the Key Lime Coconut Martini. In fact, I had three. A-MAZ-ING!!! If you aren't a traditional dessert eater, but you drink alcohol, TRY THIS DRINK!!! It's perfection in a glass! I went to the liquor store as soon as I got home and bought all the components to make it myself. It's never as good as it is at Disney, but it's close.
My hard to please Hubby said as we were leaving that Le Cellier was the best dining experience he had ever had. I have to agree. If you go soon, ask for Jill, she is OUTSTANDING!!!
