 Does anyone know if the Hoopty Doo Revue would be okay for a 2 yr. old and a 4 yr. old. I mean is it to long for them to sit through and would they enjoy it or just be to figity?

The show is approximately one hour and fourty five minutes. You know your children better than we do, so you're the best judge as to how long they will be able to sit still. I would guess that it may be a tad long for the 2 year old, though the 4 year old may be ok. Of our 4 grandchildren, 2 of them loved it when they were 4, but the other 2 weren't all that thrilled. Again, you know your children better than me, so I'd go with your gut feeling. Good luck!

Tired kids (from park playing and swimming) and an almost 2 hour show sounds like disaster to me, so we have skipped it so far.

That said, I have had many people tell me that they have taken their young ones to this and to the Luau and they LOVED it. My boys are very active, so for now, I am skipping.

We have been taking our kids since forever. I agree with other posts here on you knowing yours better than anyone. Even though my kids have a bedtime it is usually interupted by hockey anyhow, so when at WDW being tired doesn't matter to them as much as it does me! :rotfl2: IMO, Hoop Dee Doo is a Must Dee Doo :earsboy:

Don't forget that the show is also a dinner show, so the kids will be eating during the hour and forty-five minutes that it lasts. I would agree with the posters who suggested that you know your kids. A lot of the interactive entertainment might be over their heads, but the sights and sounds of the program will certainly be entertaining, even though they may not "get" all the clever lyrics. There definitely is something for everyone. ::MickeyMo

Our DD has seen the show at age 2 & 3 and loved it both times. With the dinner and all the action of the show she felt very involved and had such a great time.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I think we will give it a shot. We'll never know until we try. I'll let you know how we make out!

Good for you!

Our boys were just 3 and 1 the first time we did it. Our older son laughed so hard...he understood jokes that I didn't think he could possibly have "gotten." Even our younger guy had a great time. Music, laughter and food....what is not to like for little ones?

I would suggest the early show so they're not too tired to enjoy it.

What is the age limit for paying there? Just curious, we'll have a just barely one year old, and I wouldn't want to pay for him (he won't be eating too many ribs), but I didn't know how that would work.

I want to say that kids over 2 are charged (similar to theme park tickets). It's been several years since I've been to Hoop.

We took dd when she was 3 1/2 and she seemed to enjoy it. She still remembers playing with the washboards.

Under 3 is free. I just made ressies the other day for us, DS5 and DD1. She's free! Yippee!

We took our DS when he was 3 1/2 and LOVED the show. We went to the early show. He was mesmerized by the show and ate pretty well (he's a very picky eater) Everytime we say we are going to Disney he wants to know if we are going back to the HDDR. So we're taking him in October to celebrate his 6th birthday, which is actually a few days after we get home.
