hoope de do or mickey's barb b que

I've never been to the BBQ but I took my 5 year old to the Hoop Dee Doo and I never saw him laugh harder in his life. He's 8 now and still talks about it. We're going back in Sept and Hoop Dee Doo is the first reservation I'm making.

Hoop Dee Doo is an amazing show! It is great for both kids/adults. Mickey BBQ is pretty lame for adults.

What about seating at HDDR. Are there any really bad placed to sit for the show?

Nope. Just about all the seats are quality there. The actors make their way to all areas for participation so no one is left out. We personally like sitting up in the balcony better than sitting on the floor. Others would rather sit Cat. 1. Our least favorite place to sit is Cat. 2 on the floor, but even those seats are still pretty good seats.

We sat in Cat 3 last Sept - really neat seating upstairs, right on the edge of the balcony!
My 3 boys (ages 12, 9 and 9) just LOVED the show - it's hysterical!:rotfl2:

I am so glad to hear all the rave reviews.. I haven't been back to the HDDR in 30 years and have decided to add it to this May's itinerary.. I can't wait..
If you have deluxe dining do they put you in Cat 1 or does it matter?

We opt for Mickeys BBQ...DS is 4 and we are taking him again this year (he was 2 last time we went) Sitting still during a show is not his strong suit and Mickey's BBQ is fun as the kids can get up and dance around and such...they have direct interaction with the characters...the live music is good...the food it fine...nothing spectacular, but good basic BBQ...DH liked the refillable beer and DS loved all the ice cream carts loaded with Mickey Ice Cream bars that he can have for dessert.

Also there's an area where there are games for kids to play like checkers and hula hoops and we even took DS by the play aread and he had fun on the slides and such. It's just less confined for kids and DS has lots of energy so it was a fun place to take him.

Terrific... thanks! I hope we can get in to see this show on our trip in July.
