That would depend on when your reservations are, and where you are staying. If you happen to be at the Magic Kingdom that day then my favorite way to go is to take the Ferry boat from MK to Fort Wilderness and walk to the Hoop Dee Doo.
You can also drive to Fort Wilderness and take a bus down to the Pioneer Hall area...or you can take a bus from the other parks to Fort Wilderness.
It all depends on where you are staying. You can always take a bus to any park or downtown disney and from there take a bus to Fort Wilderness which will take you to the outpost and then you will have to take an internal bus to the HDDR or you can make your way to the Magic Kingdom and take a boat ride to Fort Wilderness and then walk to the HDDR.
We stayed at the Pop and were going to take the bus to MK and the ferry over, but that was the only time we waited the 20 min's for a bus at the Pop. I started to get worried that we would be late if we then had to wait the 20 min's for a ferry. So, we ended up taking a cab which cost $20 with tip. Ugh, that was pricey. The bus to DTD then FW, then the internal bus to the show would really take a long time. I would definitely do the bus / ferry thing.
So we got there 30+ min's early and they don't even let you in until exactly 5:00 anyway. I should have been patient but heeded the arrive early warning. I would say "next time I'll be there at 4:50 (5:00 show)" but I don't think it was worth 2 TS per person.
My husband and DS9 did love it and thought it was funny (I thought it was funny too, but not funny enough for 2TS / person.) I had really wanted to do this though and know that I would still be wanting to do it, if we hadn't gone. We can now say, "been there, done that." Next time, we're going to WCC.
Does the Hoop Dee Doo Review show also include dinner? We are going to the 7:15 show on Friday, Jan. 12th (which is also my son's 5th Birthday!) and I am starting to plan the specifics of the day.
Yes, it includes dinner.. (That would be one expensive show if it didn't! LOL) It is bbq ribs, fried chicken, beans, corn, cornbread, and salad.. plus drinks.. and strawberry shortcake for desert.
