Two years ago we went to HDD but ended up with horrible seats, upstairs and in the corner. We would like to go to HDD again but are not sure how to insure we don't end up with bad seats again. How do they determine where people sit? The last time we were in a line and it seems that they directed us upstairs, that we didn't have assigned seats. Is that correct? Is there any way to insure we can sit downstairs?

I have been told that seats are assigned at the time you make your reservations. Thus, the earlier you call the better seats you get.

Seats are assigned when you make your reservation, so the farther out you reserve, the closer you get. You can make them 2 years in advance, even!

When we arrived this past visit, someone took our card and escorted us to our table that had been assigned to us already. The person at the door told the escort which table # was ours.

I was there last week and got a pretty good table. I booked it about 3 months in advance. Hope that helps.

We booked 4 months before our trip and our seats were right next to the
piano. 5 feet from the stage........they were great seats. The earlier the better and I think it also depends on how many are in your party.
