I have always rented a car and don't always know the best way to get around using Disney transportation. That said, if I were staying at the Pop, that's exactly how I'd do it. Take the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then the boat to Ft. Wilderness. The boat dock is a hop, skip and a jump from Pioneer Hall. When you drive or take the bus to Ft. Wilderness, you then have to take their internal bus to get yourself to Pioneer Hall. It is more of a pain, IMO.
If you're staying in a Disney hotel, you can pick your tickets up at the desk - the concierge line. If you are staying on a club level floor, the staff there can print them out for you.
If you aren't staying in a Disney hotel, you can pick them up at any park (except water parks, I don't think they do that there - not sure though.) I think you might be able to pick them up at Downtown Disney, too...but I'm not sure about that.
We stayed at the GF and we took the monorail to MK and then a boat to Ft. Wilderness. We did the 7:15 show and afterwards there were several buses lined up. A CM standing nearby asked us where we were headed and put us on one of the buses. I dont' remember where it was going but the driver dropped us off at GF first.
