We have ressies for the HDDMV for June 16, the 5pm show. Needless to say, I realize it will be very hot at that time of year, and that time of day, but I have heard that it is very cold in the Pioneer Hall. Would you recommend wearing blue jeans? Or, maybe bring a sweater? I was hoping I wouldn't have to pack sweaters, but I don't want us to be uncomfortable either! Any advice would be great!

Thanks!

When are you leaving? I will be at the HDDR on June 11. If you send me your email address, I can let you know what it was like, it this is before you leave on vacation.

yes, a sweater, long-sleeved shirt or light jacket would be a good idea. i carried a light jacket a few weeks ago and it was perfect. jeans might be good, but they pack bulky. what about capris or dockers-like slacks? they don't pack as bulky. the show is great and the food is good comfort food. have a great time!!

Thank you for your kind offer bbowers! But, we leave on the 11th! Hope you all have fun!

disney queen, thanks for the suggestions. I think you are right, capri's are the way to go. I didn't think about that because I don't have any at the moment. Oh gosh, now I need to do more shopping! LOL!

It was on the cool side, but comfortable. The only problem that we had was we got caught in the rain and DS7 got pretty wet. It was a bit cold for him. Luckily my mother had a light jacket with her that he used.

can get a little cool so just be prepared. It is a great show and a great time! Enjoy!

:teeth:

Wear something with an elastic waistband or else a big shirt that covers your waistband so nobody will know that you have undone the button!

I typically get a brief chill in the restaurants at noon-1:00 p.m. at this time of year. I've never been so uncomfortable, however, that I would want a sweater or a jacket--oh yeah, there was that one year that I was soaked to the skin and it was 70º and I wished I had a sweatshirt, but that's another story--at HDD. Frankly, I wouldn't want to lug it around either.

We enjoy HDD almost every year and I am always very comfy in a tank and shorts at this time of year. I would have been way too warm in capris, slacks, golf shirt, etc. Now, if you know the temp is dipping to 70º AND you will be wet from a cloudburst, maybe. Otherwise, you should be fine at HDD in your typical afternoon attire.

Air conditioning is running full blast here, so if you become cold easily, I'd recommend bringing a light sweater or jacket.

Thanks to you all!

I think I will stay with the capri's just to be safe! I do have one DD that is a "hot box" and the other is cold no matter what you do! So, I will pass on all of your comments and let them decide for themselves (they are old enough, ages 17 & 19)!

I just can't wait to be there! Thanks again!!

I will agree with iwannabeminnie on the elastic band pants. My DW is usually the first to complain about being cold, and she said she don't remember ever being cold there, and we go to HDD every time we go to WDW. Besides after eating all those ribs, chicken and beans, you may be looking to shed some layers. :)
