Hoop dee Doo transportation

We are doing Hoop Dee Doo at a 9:30 showing. If it takes 2 hours that puts us trying to get back to our hotel at 11:30 at night. How exactly would we do that? How long will the trip back take? Do we need to plan for taxi? Should we just cancel this reservation and do something else that night?
I have heard so many good things but I'm sitting on the fence now. trying to pare down our trip some. Other possibility is to extend our vacation by a day or so. I don't think that is a realistic option but it would make things easier

it is advisable to include the hotel but the failsafe is to grab a cab. there are bus stations 50 to 75 yards from the Hoop-de-doo and --assuming you are on site --you'll be brought back safe and sound.

Fort Wilderness provides buses back to the resorts after the 7:15 and 9:30 PM Hoop De Doo.

Just go down to the bus depot and tell them which resort you are going to. You may stop at another resort, but there will be no transferring. Taking a cab is really not any easier cause you have to take an internal bus to the OTHER end of the campground, then walk over to the checkin building, then secure a cab.

To get TO the Hoop De Doo, take a bus from your resort to the Magic Kingdom, then take a boat from the Magic Kingdom to Ft. Wilderness. The boat dock is very close to Pioneer Hall.

Yep - what clkelley said. We did Hoop De Doo last June and this is exactly what happened. They had buses waiting for all of the show attendees in a special area and took us all directly back to our resorts. You just told the bus drivers which resort you were going to and they directed you to the correct bus.

We were there in April. I wouldn't cancel if I were you, it was a really good show, an like previous posters said there will be transportation available.

Thanks for the info! I feel more relieved now. I worried we would be trying to get back to our hotel with no transportation. We are staying at Contemporary so we can just hop a boat over there but I knew they wouldn't be running for the return trip.

Ya those buses right back to your resort are great! Too bad I didn't find out about them until my third time at HDD.

I think the boat that runs between FW-WL-CR runs until 11:45, if that is the case, you simply ride the boat back. In the evening(after 3pm really) the boat will go CR>WL>FW>CR.
